    Chingy once rapped under the moniker H Thugz and a member of St. Louis group, Without Warning

    Before Howard Bailey Jr got the stage name Chingy, he went by H Thugz. H Thugz who we now know as Chingy, was a part of the St. Louis group, Without WarningWithout Warning on 49 Productions with M.G.D. & Mysphit. One of their biggest, local hits is “What’s Poppin Off.”

    Metro Boomin, who is also from St. Louis, named his 2017 collaborative album with Offset and 21 Savage, Without Warning. While Metro Boomin hasn’t gone on record to confirm the connection of the St. Louis group and his album title being connected, the coincidence is very rare not to be true.

    Update: 10/31/2020: Metro has confirmed his album is indeed titled after the group Without Warning.

    Metro Boomin and 21 Savage aim for number one

    This week will be a great one for Saint Laurent Don and Young Metro. Metro Boomin and 21 Savage released their second joint project Savage Mode 2 a week ago. The pair released the first mixtape of the series in 2016, and clearly, both the rapper and the producer have been working and improving on their talents. Savage Mode 2 has been getting a lot of praise and rotation.


    21 Savage has since dropped two videos off the album. He released a video for Runnin a week ago and that of My Dawg two days ago. Both videos combined have raked about 11 million views on YouTube in just a few days. Slaughter Gang and Boominati fans have also been running up the album streaming numbers. The joint album is expected to debut at number 1 on the Billboard Hot 200 album chart, with over 173k copies sold in the first week. These are the highest first week numbers for
    both artists.

    Savage Mode 2 was flavored with Morgan Freeman’s voice, giving the album a very pleasurable vibe. Freeman also appeared on the album trailer which helped promote the piece of art. Metro Boomin has even been on Twitter shouting Morgan Freeman out.

    Savage Mode II aiming for no. 1 first week

    21 Savage and Metro Boomin‘s Savage Mode II has been the talk of the weekend. 21 and Metro took their time with this release. It’s been four years since the two put together the second edition, and it looks like it’ll be a no. 1 album release, according to the projected numbers.

    Savage Mode II is projected to debut at no. 1, with 170-195K units. Bryson Tiller’s Anniversary album is projected to sell 75-85k in its opening week.
