As fans wait for the project to drop, they can stream the mixtape teaser with five songs from the tape. The tracks on the teaser include the controversial “Bring the Hook,” “Fish Scale,” “Emo Rockstar,” “Emo Love,” and “Foolish Figure.”

YoungBoy stirred up the internet on Thursday (January 13), when he dropped “Bring the Hook,” a record that captures him dissing Chicago’s infamous neighborhood O’block, the gang, and their dead member and rapper, King Von.

“Ni**a, this that Squid Game, O-Block pack get rolled up, Murder what they told us, Atlanta boy get fold up,” Youngboy raps on the aggressive track. The rapper is seemingly referring to the infamous neighborhood in Chicago O’Block and Von who was killed in Atlanta in November 2020 by one of the crew members of YB’s associate, Quando Rondo.

Lil Durk appeared to be firing back in an Instagram post later on that day: “Don’t claim it if ain’t do it you still a bitch,” Durk captioned a photo of him beside Von’s mural.

NBA YoungBoy will serve his house arrest in Utah

Chart-topping rapper NBA YoungBoy once again beats another hurdle towards his freedom after an LA court grants him bond in his California gun charge. According to The Advocate, Assistant U.S. Attorney Will Morris told U.S Magistrate Judge Richard Bourgeois Jr. on Tuesday (October 26) that the federal government doesn’t seek to have NBA Youngboy, real name Kentrell Gaulden, held in custody.

The court then ruled for the Sincerely Kentrell rapper to be released under certain conditions and will serve his house arrest at his Utah home, where a recording studio will be built for him.

Last week, the 22-year-old rapper was granted bond in Louisiana over his gun charges related to the 2020 arrest in Baton Rouge. Another case was then filed in Los Angeles that prevented his release. The case stems from his March arrest where the feds busted him for a warrant from his Baton Rouge gun charge and they discovered a handgun in his Maybach truck.

Two of Youngboy’s attorneys, James Manasseh and Andre Belanger, revealed that the arraignment in LA should be in November.

NBA YoungBoy’s case resumed this week and in one of the hearings, his attorneys asked the judge to release the 21-year-old rapper on bond so he can go live in Utah, where they want a recording studio built for him as well as security of former military personnel put on the ground, according to The Advocate. The judge is yet to issue a ruling on the Monday (October 18) hearing.

Previously, Chief U.S. District Judge Shelly Dick had rejected a motion to release Youngboy, describing him as “inclined toward reckless, illegal, dangerous behavior” and couldn’t be granted bond even on certain conditions.
