It’s been two weeks since the hip-hop community lost Takeoff in a tragic shooting on top of the month in Houston, and many are still struggling to cope with the unfortunate situation, especially his close family and friends.

Offset, a former Migos member and a direct relative to Take, took to Instagram Tuesday (November 15) to share a letter directed to the late rapper. Beginning the letter with “Dear Take,” Set expressed his heartbreak from Take’s untimely death, saying his “heart is shattered and I have so many things to say, but I can’t find the words.”

“I hope you can see how much we love you and miss you. You have left a hole in my heart that will never be filled. Give me strength, give your brothers strength, give your family strength. Even though I know you will always be with us, throw me a lil sign or a beautiful dream. I love you forever, 4L and after.”

He didn’t care about none of that as along we brought it back home to the family!

Offset pays tribute to the late Takeoff

Offset is mourning the death of his Migos partner, Takeoff, who was killed in a shooting in Houston Tuesday (November 1). On Wednesday morning, Set changed his Instagram profile pic to Take’s photo of him rocking a bright smile.

The “54321” artist hasn’t posted anything about Take’s death, so has Quavo. Per TMZ, Offset was scheduled to perform at MGM Music in Boston tomorrow (November 3), but will not show up. The event will still happen without Set however.

New footage emerged on Wednesday showing a person of interest firing his gun. The video doesn’t prove the unidentified man fired the initial shots in the shootout that left Takeoff lying lifeless on the floor.

Quavo is confident about the future of Unc. & Nephew duo

The hip-hop community is still processing Atlanta trio Migos’ split, which saw Offset going his separate way leaving Quavo and Takeoff as a duo. Apparently, possibilities are very low that the group will ever reunite.

Quavo and Takeoff pulled up on Revolt’s Drink Champs last week where they talked about their future as a group. During the interview, N.O.R.E asked if “there will be a Migos reunion eventually,” to which Quavo replied, “well, no. I don’t think so.”

“Right now I believe in the duo, you know what I’m saying?” He added. “Like you just said, you play the game by loyalty. You just stand on loyalty. Like we said, like I said in songs and everything, we stand on motherf**king loyalty. This is about us and shit. When things ain’t right sometimes you gotta goddamn move on, you know what I’m saying? When ego sometimes, when everything getting in the way. Sometimes you gotta sit back and watch what’s going on, just see what’s wrong.”

Quavo also weighed in on Offset filling a lawsuit against Quality Control, saying he wouldn’t do the same since the label founders Pee and Couch changed his life, and Takeoff immediately backed him.

“At the end of the day, n*ggas got problems that they need to fix. You still ain’t gotta do no lawsuits you know. Pee and Couch they changed my life,” Quay said before Takeoff reinstated, “fasho fasho, I love em to death.”

Some have speculated that Baby had something to do with the division between Offset, Migos and QC. It was also alleged that Offset got into a scuffle with 4PF associates. The rapper was even rumored to be seeing Saweetie, something that he denied.

During a recent conversation on Posted on the Corner, the “Stand On It” rapper was asked if he’s beefing with Migos, to which he simply replied, “hell no.”

Offset to drop his second solo album in November

Offset shares the release date for his upcoming album. The Atlanta rapper announced on Twitter Wednesday (September 21) that the album will hit streaming platforms on November 11. He’s yet to reveal its title.

He tweeted, “11/11/22,” before adding, “Album.”

“This is just the beginning,” Offset said of the album during an August interview with SSENSE. “It’s just gutter and core, from the heart. I got a lot of different flows on it. I’m rapping, even though I see a lot of the artists nowadays, they like auto tuning. A lot. I feel like I’m not on that wave at all. When I came in, we came out the trenches, so that’s what people want to hear, because that’s what people go through every day. Ain’t nobody driving a Wraith.”

He continued, “[In] Black culture right now, and the world in general, the poors outweigh the rich one thousand percent. So you gotta talk about shit that’s going on in real life. Just the real content of what people see every day. Go back to that.”
