One of those memorable moments in the stream was their awkwardness on being too near each other; in one of their musings, Quavo asked DDG, “what’s up?” and jokingly added that would he want to box? These drew huge reactions on social media as many freely speculated that there may be beef between the two artists.

    Take & Quay’s moms speak on gun violence

    The mothers of Takeoff and Quavo have come together with the White House once again in memory of the departed Migos rap artist and to continue the fight against gun violence.

    Representing Quavo’s Rocket Foundation, Titania Davenport (Takeoff’s mother) and Edna Maddox (Quavo’s mother and Takeoff’s grandmother), met with Greg Jackson, Deputy Director of the White House Office of Gun Violence Prevention, to attend an event titled “Turning Pain Into Purpose: A Conversation on Gun Violence.” Discussing the painful impact of losing loved ones to gun violence.

    Titania would now consider that with pain, one should grow and help others move forward.

    Post the event, Jackson shared a heartfelt Instagram post in which he wrote: “Takeoff should still be here, but his legacy lives on through the bravery and activism of his family. Proud to stand alongside his mother and grandmother during their first on-stage appearance, hosted by @fortunemag, as they shared their loss, the mission of @rocketfdn, and the urgent need to #endgunviolence.

    Quavo & Set continue to rebuild their relationship

    It looks like Rich Homie Quan’s untimely demise has had a sway on Quavo & Offset’s effort to amend their relationship. Following Quan’s death, Quavo shared a series of old photos of the “Lifestyle” rapper with Migos, before posting: “Good convo with my bro @offsetyrn [link emoji] [praying hands emoji].”

    Earlier this year, both Quavo and Offset denied being at odds and professed their “love” for each other, although they did dismiss any obligation to share their dealings to the public especially after Takeoff’s passing.

    Quavo will hold his seventh annual Hunchp Day celebrations in Atlanta on April 28, and this time, the event will be directed towards efforts to combat gun violence in the community.

    The event will be dubbed “Quavo Cares Social Impact Hub” and will debut Team Huncho Basketball & Team Huncho Elite 7v7 football games. It will also feature the regular sports clinics backed by Atlanta Hawks & Atlanta Falcons.

    Profits from the event will be handed to “Rocket Camp,” a 10-week summer gun violence prevention program spearheaded by Offender Alumni Association.

    Quavo supports communities in honor of Take

    Former Migos front man Quavo is paying respect to his late nephew, Takeoff, with Sparks Grant Initiative to help put gun violence in Atlanta under control. Per Billboard, the initiative will see ten organizations recieve $10k each in grants.

    “I am honored to launch this grant program to honor Take and the countless families that have been affected by gun violence,” the Rocket Power rapper stated. “The Rocket Foundation will be giving out $100,000 in Spark grants to local organizations dedicated to reducing community violence in Atlanta.”

    He added, “There is a lot of important work going on in ATL right now, and part of our mission is to uplift these organizations and support them to help save more lives.”

    Quavo was on a yacht that is being investigated regarding an armed robbery

    Quavo was reportedly present on a yacht that was involved in an armed robbery. Per Local 10 News, police used boats to respond to an armed robbery on a yacht that was docked near The Wharf and the 32-year-old Migos rapper was aboard. The robbery was reported to have happened before 9 p.m. near 114 SW N. River Drive.

    According to police report, the group aboard was informed that the rental time was almost over when 39-year-old Cornell Whitfield of Texas, and 32-year-old Anteneh Workeneh of Georgia, grew “very aggressive” and demanded refund from the boat the captain and the boat crew. Whitfield then threatened to kill the captain and throw his body overboard if he turned the boat.

    Whitfied robbed the captain of his $3,500 and a crew member of his $5,000 which he later retrieved. Although nobody was arrested in connection with the robbery, police detained several people for questioning. They also recovered two firearms on the scene but no arrests have been made on the same either.

    “It shall be noted that although two firearms were located on scene, no threats were made with the firearms,” the police report says. “No cameras were located on the boat that faced where the alleged incident took place.”

    Quavo, Offset and their family were celebrating Takeoff’s birthday on Sunday (June 18), a day he would have turned 29. Quavo and Offset surprised the hip hop community when photos and videos of the two at the party together began circulating online. On Monday, Quavo shared a series of photos from the event and in the last slide, he posted a pic of him and Offset.

    Before Take passed away last October, the Migos trio had disintegrated with Offset following a solo path while Quavo and Takeoff remained as a duo (Unc. & Nephew). Although Quavo has previously revealed that the Migos days are over for good, perhaps he and Set might consider making music together in the future.

    Quavo dedicates his album to Take, their fans, and himself

    Quavo explains the inspiration behind his next album, Rocket Power. In a detailed Instagram post he shared on Wednesday (May 24), the former Migos rapper emphasized that the project is dedicated to his late nephew Takeoff, as well as their fans. He didn’t forget to mention that the record is also his therapy.

    “Rocket Power 🚀 The Album coming soon,” Quavo wrote. “This album is for the Rocket, our true fans and also this is my therapy.”

    He continued: “This is album is a true reflection of how I feel right now. Sometimes I’m Good, sometimes I’m Down, sometimes I’m Disappointed, sometimes I fall apart but then I ALWAYS find my strength again. I know everything might not be alright right now, but the rocket showed me a way to make it RIGHT!
