Roddy Ricch 'Feed Tha Streets 3' is on pace to sell 35K first week.
The Compton rapper first teased the tape in 2021 when he displayed his “Feed Tha Streets” tattoo on Instagram with the caption, “3.” After releasing his sophomore studio album, Live Life Fa$t, and seemingly disappointed with the response from his fans, Roddy tweeted, “FTS 3 comin 2022 , u niggas playin wit my top.”
Roddy Ricch says he was confused about Hit-Boy’s comments
Roddy Ricch reacts to fellow California native Hit-Boy’s remarks that West-Coast rappers like Roddy himself and Kendrick Lamar whom he’s worked with on Nipsey Hussle’s Grammy-winning “Racks In The Middle” and “Backseat Freestyle” respectively, do not work with him anymore to his surprise.
While on the move to promote his new commercial mixtape Feed Tha Streets III, Roddy stopped by Power 105.1 this week where he addressed Hit-Boy. “We got a lotta music together, so I was kinda confused about it,” Roddy told the host, DJ Clue, who then asked him if he speaks with the Fontana producer.
“Briefly. I let him say whatever, I ain’t say nothing. I don’t know. I don’t really be on the media with n**gas, you feel me?” the rapper said, while adding that he’s “thankfull” they won a Grammy together. “It’s probably a lot of producers that feel that way. West Coast n**gas we should handle certain things without the cameras on.”
During a recent conversation with DJ Akademiks on his Off The Record Podcast, Hit-Boy said he played “Racks In The Middle” beat for Roddy the same night he made it. “The first beat I ever played n-ggas, the first song we ever did within 10 minutes of knowing each other, won a Grammy. How the fuck have we not locked in on more music. I don’t get it. Maybe it’s not for me to get,” he said.
He continued, “At the end of the day, the first muthafucking beat I ever played for you in the history of life is ‘Racks in the Middle,’ my n-gga, like pull back up what the fuck.”
Roddy Ricch is working on his next album following the release of Feed Tha Streets III mixtape last week. The Compton artist took to Twitter on Sunday (November 20) to make the announcement, precisely writing, “mixtape out album next.”
The 24-year-old’s new project came with 15 songs, boasting guest appearances from Lil Durk & Ty Dolla $ign. It featured production from Mustard, DY Krazy, jetsonmade, Turbo, among others.
Back in September, Roddy shared a screenshot of a text chat he had with management telling them, “the label don’t wanna count Feed Tha Streets 3 as album cuz it’s always been a mixtape series.” The rapper went on to drop the project as a mixtape, although it can be found all over streaming platforms.
Roddy Ricch comes through with the visuals for his Lil Durk-assisted single, “Twin.” Released on Monday (November 21), the music video is created by Jerry Production.
The song was released on November 14 as a single from Roddy’s album, Feed Tha Streets III, and is produced by Teddy Walton, Aaron Bow & Byrd.
Roddy and Durk have collaborated before on “Moonwalkin” from the formers debut album, Please Excuse Me For Being Antisocial, and on DJ Khaled’s “Keep Going.”
Roddy delivered FTS 3 on November 18 with guest appearances from Smurk and Ty Dolla $ign.
It’s only a couple of hours away before Roddy Ricch unleashes his highly-anticipated album, Feed Tha Streets 3. On Wednesday (November 16), Roddy logged on Instagram to unveil the official trailer for the upcoming album.
The video shows Roddy awaiting his “special guests” at a table while a waitress prepares it for dinner. “It’s about six in LA,” the rapper says before adding that his guests are “always motherf**cking late.”

Roddy Ricch had promised not to visit Canada “anytime soon” after he was blocked from crossing the border earlier this month
Roddy Ricch recently ran into a TMZ journalist whom she discussed with the incident when he was denied entry into Vancouver, Canada, for a show. The rapper was asked why the Federal Border Patrol were “tripping” on him.
“Police. You know what I’m saying,” Roddy responded. “They just was trippin’ on me. They came on the tour bus tweakin’ by the side.”
When questioned if his Canada fans shouldn’t expect to see him “anytime soon” as he previously vowed, he promised to return but under one condition; the feds should stop harassing him at the border. “I love ‘em, you know what I’m saying. We gon’ make sure we get to ‘em,” he added. “They just gotta make it right. They can’t keep harassing us like that.”
Speaking on whether he reached out to Drake for help, Roddy said, “Shout out to Drake. I think last time he made a couple of calls and he made it happen for us. But who knows?”
The rapper didn’t forget to remind his fans that all they need as they await Christmas is his new album dropping this Friday (November 18), stating, “’Feed Tha Streets 3′ dropping this Friday, everybody need to get that.”
The California rapper was also stopped at the Canadian border in February 2020 but with a few calls by Drake, he was able to enter the country.
