Wiz Khalifa says he can face Lil Wayne in a Verzuz

Khalifa thinks Wayne is his right opponent in a Verzuz

Wiz Khalifa is interested in facing Lil Wayne on a Verzuz stage. Speaking to DJ Superstar Jay during a Shade 45 interview last week, the Taylor Gang boss named Weezy as his proper opponent in a Verzuz, but clarified that it will be more fun as a concert than a competition given they’re both good performers share a deep adoration for weed.

“I think that would be fun, yeah. Because Wayne is a really dope performer,” Khalifa said. “Me and him going back and forth performing bangers? That shit’d be hard! And we’d both smoke hella weed. I think that would be more of a concert than a Verzuz.”

In November, Wayne revealed in an interview that only Roc-A-Fella can go against his Young Money team in a Verzuz.

Wiz Khalifa has outgrown flexing jewelry

Wiz Khalifa has been in the game long enough to understand what’s important for him and what’s not. During his recent appearance on WHOO’s House Podcast, Khalifa explained that he no longer rocks jewelry because he’s focused on some other things that he values more.

“You grow out of that shit and you place value in other things at certain points,” he said. “It’s cool to have that mind frame as well or it’s cool to have the little joint too. You don’t have to have the biggest, craziest situation going on.”

He added that safety is one of the reasons he stopped wearing jewelry. “And with all of these murders and shit going on, it’s inviting fucking energy that you don’t really need. And people look at you like they get excited when they see that type of shit.”

“Me, I’m the type of person that thinks about my safety first,” he continued. “So if I could walk into a room and not excite those people who are gonna feel like that when they see those things, I’ll do you the favor because I don’t want anything to happen to you, I don’t want anything to me, so I’ma just calm down the situation for all of us. I’m gonna give us something not to look at.”

A statement from a Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office representative read, “The emergency plan was initiated and followed, and all gates, including non-public exits, were opened. Subsequently, the venue patrons self-evacuated.”
