    Anderson .Paak to perform ‘Malibu’ album in full on upcoming US tour

    Anderson to perform his acclaimed album in planned tour

    Anderson .Paak wants to give his fans a special experience of his 2016 album, Malibu. The singer recently took to social media to announce The Malibu Tour, where he plans to perform the acclaimed album from the top to the bottom.

    The trek will see .Paak making 14 stops across the US between September and October. “DUE TO THE OVERWHELMING EXCITEMENT ABOUT OUR HOLLYWOOD BOWL SHOW I HAVE A VERY SPECIAL SURPRISE FOR YOU GUYS,” he wrote. “YALLLL ‘THE MALIBU TOUR’ IS HITTING THE ROAD!!! BE READY!!”

    He’ll be accompanied by The Free Nationals, Maurice Brown and Gawd.

    Cordae and Anderson .Paak released their new collaboration, “Two Tens,” on Wednesday (January 25). The North Carolina-born rapper then linked with Zane Lowe on Apple Music 1 to talk about the new single. Cordae revealed that he and .Paak have enough songs to make a collab mixtape or EP. All the songs are produced by J. Cole, who also handled the newly-released track.

    “You know what’s funny, we literally got a mixtape full of joints with me and Paak,” Cordae disclosed. “We literally got a mixtape full of joints of me and Paak… Well, we got an EP full of joints with me, Paak, and Cole beats.”

    “Jail” by Kanye West featuring Marylin Manson and Jay-Z got Best Rap Song and “Hurricane,” featuring The Weeknd and Lil Baby and also from Kanye’s Donda, won Best Melodic Rap Performance.

    Before Brandon Paak Anderson was known as Anderson .Paak, he originally rapped and made music under the moniker Breezy Lovejoy in 2011. Before rapping his brother-in-law nicknamed him Breezy because he would eat a lot of cheetos and fart.

    Once I got to L.A., I was about 25 years old and I had my son. Before that I was living with my sister, but I got kicked out of her place. I had nowhere to go, I was with my family — my wife and my son — and there was nowhere to take them. I had stopped selling weed and I had spent all of the money.     In 2010, Breezy Lovejoy released his debut EP Violets Are Blue. which is still available on spotify. In June 2012, he released his first album O.B.E. Volume 1. Just less than six months after the release of O.B.E. Volume 1, Breezy Lovejoy released his second 2012 studio albumLOVEJOY. Brandon Paak Anderson rebranded the following year, “I didn’t want to be a new artist. But I remember thinking about, if I ever met Dr. Dre, could I go up to him like, ‘Hi, I’m Breezy Lovejoy.’

    Anderson .Paak became the first artist to sign with Dr. Dre’s Aftermath Entertainment label in over a decade.
