    Former President Barack Obama released his Favorite Music in 2024 playlist, featuring some of the most interesting artists caught in this year’s musical footsteps. Then, on Friday, December 20, Obama shared his year-end lists for books and films with his musical picks.

    Some of those featured in this year’s cash list include the superb song “Squabble Up” by Kendrick Lamar, Travis Scott and Asake’s “Active,” and Central Cee and Lil Baby’s “Band4Band.” Another title in the mix is “Jump” by Tyla, featuring Skillibeng and Gunna.

    Obama is a big fan and friend of Kendrick Lamar

    Former President Barack Obama is known to be a big hip hop follower and it is no surprise that he has something to say about the infamous clash between Kendrick Lamar and Drake.

    During a recent interview with influencer barber VicBlend’s DeepCut podcast, the ex-commander-in-chief was asked whether the beef strengthened K-Dot’s foothold in hip hop. “Kendrick is a friend of mine,” he replied. ” I’ve known him for a long time. He actually performed at the White House. I’m pretty confident in saying not many presidents were familiar with Hip Hop.

    “I do think that Kendrick has a unique status right now, not just because of this summer. He’s not just gifted; he’s serious about the message he tries to… he digs deep into himself.”

    Former U.S. president Barack Obama revealed his favorite songs of 2022 over the weekend. On the list that features around two dozen of songs, Kendrick Lamar’s “The Heart Part 5,” Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul,” SZA’s “Shirt,” Lizzo’s “About That Time,” and Ari Lennox’s “POF” appear.

    Other songs that were among Obama’s favorites include, Burna Boy’s “Last Last,” Koffee’s “Pull Up,” Rema’s “Calm Down,” as well as Omar Apollo’s “Tamagotchi.”

    Chance the rapper has been to the White House more than four times during Obama’s Presidency. Him and his father attended Obama’s final White House State Dinner.

    Chance the Rapper also sung “Jingle Bells” with former President Barack Obama at the White House’s tree lighting ceremony. and starred in Obama’s new public service announcement for My Brother’s Keeper Alliance. Obama is a fan of Chance the Rapper and he included “Acid Rain” in his 2016 summer playlist.
