Big Sean and Jhené Aiko’s extended play release of TWENTY88 was a surprise to their fanbase. According to Sean, the label didn’t want it to drop, so they put forth the effort and financial resources themselves.
Now, 6 years later, Big Sean says the second installment is being worked on. According to REVOLT, Sean went live on Instagram with Queen Naija, following the release of their new single “Hate Our Love.”
“I’m here working on [a] new album and new TWENTY88 — me and Jhené,” he told Queen Naija. “Shit, we’ve been working on it for a little bit… It’s coming along good, though.”
The first installment peaked on the Billboard 200 at no. 5. The 8-track EP featured K-Ci & JoJo and Detail.

On his latest interview, with Drink Champs, Sean confirmed that the mixtape will be coming to all streaming services in the next week or two. The hold up was due to sample clearances.
One of the most recent mixtapes from the blog era was ASAP Rocky’s Live.Love.ASAP.

Sean is demanding his respect as a rapper and artist that is his own entity away from G.O.O.D. Music. “That’s a forever brotherhood,” he said on his relationship with those on the label. “But business wise, I had to start getting a bigger cut! I worked my way out that deal.”
Released on Finally Famous to Def Entertainment, under the umbrella of Def Jam Recordings, Sean is still preparing another full-length body of work. “Album coming out crazy,” the rapper tweeted out. “It’s not done but I still felt like it was time to give the people who do fuck wit me n Hit some more music, love! N these 6 slap harder than most ya’ll albums anyway.”

Big Sean is the Detroit Piston’s new creative director
If there’s anybody who’s vocal about showing love to their native city, it’s Big Sean. Sean loves Detroit and that love is reciprocated. Sean has been named the new creative director of the Detroit Piston. Labeled “creative director of innovation,” Sean expressed his gratitude and excitement for his new role onsocial media.
“Unreal! I’m the CREATIVE DIRECTOR OF THE @detroitpistons! “Creative Director of Inovation”! I got a office in the facility n everything (looking for a intern by the way)!,” Sean expressed in the post. “Growing up I knew I either wanted to rap or hoop for the Pistons lol. crazy how life works. In an interview with The Undefeated, he went on to say, ““It was really something I threw out in the universe one day,” he said. “I mentioned it, like, man, ‘They need to give me a job!’ Talking about the Pistons, Red Wings, Tigers or Lions. I’m a huge Detroit fan. I’m ride or die with it … I’ve always said that, but especially with the Pistons. It’s crazy that it happened like this. I’m just truly grateful.”
Ahead of the release of his forthcoming debut album, Thats What They All Say, Jack Harlow releases Big Sean-assisted “Way Out” single. Harlow, thus far, finds a nice groove in uptempo production and switching his flows; it’s evident he loves to rap and create a fun setting for his music.
“Way Out” follows up his singles, “Tyler Herro,” “Whats Poppin” and “Whats Poppin (remix)” with Lil Wayne and DaBaby.
Hit-Boy and Big Sean have chemistry that they’ll likely continue

Next week, Fivio Foreign will be dropping new music with Hit-Boy and Big Sean.
