    Cardi B gives back to her old elementary school

    Cardi B feels very appreciative towards her former elementary school I.S 232 in the Bronx, New York. Bardi visited the school this week to celebrate the year it was founded and left a whopping $100,000 surprise donation.

    The rapper also gave a passionate speech during the event where New York City Schools Chancellor David Banks and Community Capacity founder & executive director K. Bain were present. She suggested after-school programs to be introduced to the school.

    “I hope my donation can help create an amazing after school program that will help kids stay out the streets or a troubled home and most importantly allow them to learn something that they can take with them through LIFE,” the 26-year old rapper wrote on Instagram.

    She added that she has something in store for the kids that she’s been working on for two years. “I love being able to help young kids however I can and I can’t waiiiittttt to tell y’all what I’ve been working on for the past two years. It’s something super close to my heart and I can’t wait to share very soon.”

    Cardi B shows Usher some love

    Cardi B stands by Usher’s legendary status within the R&B space. Bardi hopped on Twitter Friday (September 9) to express her blissfulness for Usher receiving the recognition he merits.

    “I’m so glad @Usher is getting the love he deserves,” the “Hot Shit” rapper wrote. “Y’all were trying him for a couple years but I’m glad he overcame that because he is a LEGEND.”

    In an August interview, Usher revealed that he’d accept the R&B crown if fans gave it to him. “I mean, you call me that, I’ll definitely carry it,” Usher said. “I’m a tilt my crown knowing that I’m standing on the shoulders of all of the icons of our time. It is Michael [Jackson] that I stand on the shoulders of, it is James Brown that I stand on the shoulders of, it is Ronald Isley I stand on the shoulders of, it is Luther Vandross, it is Barry White, it is Teddy Pendergrass.”

    Cardi B is making it clear that she’s on her hubby Offset’s side in the legal battle against Quality Control.

    The New York native hopped on social media earlier this week (August 24) flaming people who are ”trying to make Offset look like the bad guy in the struggle.”

    “Offset bought himself out his Qc deal after they didn’t want to renegotiate his contract,” she wrote. “I’m tired of people trying to make offset look like the bad guy …..ENOUGH IS ENOUGH!”

    Offset recently sued QC for not honoring an agreement where he bought back his solo masters. The label executives, of course, aren’t sitting well with this.

    Cardi B to drop first single from her next album

    Cardi B returns with a new single, ‘’Hot Shit,’’ featuring Kanye West & Lil Durk dropping this Friday (July 1). The track is produced by BanBwoi & Tay Keith, and is expected to appear on the New York rapper’s sophomore album. The rapper shared a short trailer for the album on Monday (June 27) and revealed the features a few hours later.

    “I’m so tired of people not doing their f*cking job correctly,’’ Bardi said while talking about the song during a live stream. “I’m so tired of people just doing things their way. Just…I’m just over it, you know what I’m saying? I’m over it. I’m gonna put this record [out], if it do good, it do good. I think it’s gonna do good ’cause at the end of the day, the record is amazing. I love the record. It’s something that I feel like you haven’t heard from me before.” She also revealed that she’s been sitting on the track since 2019.

    She described the record as ‘’masculine, great for the clubs.”

    Cardi B’s diamond singles: “I Like It with J. Balvin,” “Bodak Yellow,” and “Girls Like You” with Maroon 5.

    Cardi B woke up to great news on Monday (December 13) that her collaborative single with J Balvin and Bad Bunny “I Like It” became certified diamond after selling 10 million units in the United States.

    Bardi’s latest diamond plaque, which was the fourth single off her debut album Invasion of Privacy, adds up to Bodak Yellow, another single from the album, and “Girls Like You” with Maroon 5. This makes the New York star the first female rapper to score three diamond singles and the second woman to ever earn the status after Katy Perry.

    “Wow I’m sooo happy ??☺️! My album came out in 2018 and it’s still breaking records. I have a solo ? record, a feature ? record and now ANOTHER ? record from a collab with 2 people that I look up to and love so much, @jbalvin & @badbunnypr ?!” She wrote on an Instagram post.

    “I remember like it was yesterday when this song went #1 and now it’s Diamond. I honestly just can’t believe this is happening! I’m so proud to have two songs off my debut album go Diamond. I hope I can achieve the same or even better on my next one ??. Thank you everyone that has supported and loved this record??.”

    The 63rd GRAMMY Awards will air Sunday, March 14

    The full performer list for the 2021 GRAMMY Awards Show, officially known as the 63rd GRAMMY Awards has been announced. Performers include Bad Bunny, Black Pumas, Cardi B, BTS, Brandi Carlile, DaBaby, Doja Cat, Billie Eilish, Mickey Guyton, Haim, Brittany Howard, Miranda Lambert, Lil Baby, Dua Lipa, Chris Martin, John Mayer, Megan Thee Stallion, Maren Morris, Post Malone, Roddy Ricch, Harry Styles, and Taylor Swift. According to Recording Academy, artists will be coming together to perform music that brings us together as a community.


    The 63rd GRAMMY Awards will be hosted by Trevor Noah and presented by CBS and Recording Academy. It will be airing live on Sunday, March 14, 2021, at 8:00 p.m. ET/5:00 p.m. PT on CBS Television Network and also available for live streaming and on-demand on Paramount+.
