Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion have the no. 1 song in the country

On August 7, Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion dropped their single “WAP,” along with visuals. The song has stirred a lot of controversy but the good outweighs the hate.

“WAP” is the no. 1 song on the Billboard Hot 100. The song grossed over 93 million plays by the end of the week of August 13. The 93 million streams breaks a record, being the most ever done by an artist in history, as told by Nielsen Music/MRC Data.

Cardi B’s acting skills are up to par in ‘Hustlers’ film

Jennifer Lopez brought together an all-star cast for her 2019 drama Hustlers. Cardi B played a dancer named Diamond. She didn’t climb the pole for her role but she did perform in other ways. Constance Wu, Keke Palmer, Julia Stiles, Lili Reinhart, and singer Lizzo also star.

The movie was based on an article in New York Magazine that went viral. Hustlers is a film about a strip club and a group of past employees who used devious methods to rob the club’s Wall Street clientele. Cardi B has stated to VOX in the past that she regretted this past behavior while she was a real exotic dancer.

French Montana gets help from Post Malone, Cardi B, and Rvssian for his new single ‘Writing on the Wall’

The New York Coke Boy, French Montana, has released the first single from his upcoming record, and it features two other titans in hip hop, Post Malone and Cardi B. This song has that Carribean pop rap vibe that French has seemed to embrace lately; Post Malone really compliments this style with his sweet vocals, and Cardi sounds very natural on this type of song as well. The production on this song comes from rising Jamaican producer Rvssian; I would really love to see him collaborate more with French for this upcoming album, because the sound that they create on this song is very natural sounding.

This is seriously a really great collaboration. Cardi B’s energy on this track is excellent, and the harmonies chemistry between Post and French Montana is very palpable. French also just released a music video for this song. I do not even know how to describe it; I will say that it is super trippy and the scenes where they are riding the motorcycle look really fun. Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I. set to judge as Netflix releases their first music competition

For the first time in history, Netflix is set to release their first music competition. The competition has been revealed to revolve around undiscovered hip-hop artists as they strive for success within the industry. Judges for the saga include Grammy award winning artist Cardi B, Chance the Rapper, and T.I.

Unlike most Netflix specials, the series will air over multiple weeks. The October 9th debut will only include four episodes, and primarily focus on auditions. The following episodes airing on October 16th will cover cyphers, music videos, and rap battles. There is no doubt that this is a major deal for the already popular streaming service.
