    Chris Brown & Drake’s ‘No Guidance’ hits diamond status

    Breezy & Drizzy hit new milestone together

    Chris Brown scores his first ever Diamond single thanks to the 2019 Drake collab “No Guidance.” On Tuesday (November 12), the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) revealed Diamond certification for Breezy and Drizzy’s song. This milestone means that the track has sold more than 10 million copies-it has currently hit over 11 million.

    The good news come just after artists Tykeiya Dore and Marc Stephens recently filed a lawsuit against Chris Brown and Drake, seeking at least $5 million in damages, alleging that “No Guidance” copied elements from their 2016 song “I Got It.”

    Drake and Chris Brown have come under fire for another alleged copyright infringement for their popular song “No Guidance”.

    According to Music Business Worldwide, singer Tykeiya Dore and Marc Stephens have filed a lawsuit against the pair seeking over $5 million in damages because their song, ‘No Guidance’, allegedly lifted some elements of their 2016 hit, ‘I Got It’.

    The complaint was lodged in the state of New Jersey and states that Brown, Drake and the rest of songwriters of “No Guidance” copied the primary lyric in “I Got It” and changed it to “You got it” while also retaining ‘the same chord progressions, tempo, pitch, key, melody, harmony, rhythm, structure, phrasing, and lyrics’ as those of Dore and Stephens.

    Bow Wow teases new music

    Bow Wow could finally be ready to release new music, and if so, he plans to use some help from past collaborator Chris Brown. The rapper recently took to X to announce that fans should expect something from the two this summer. “Bow Wow x Chris Brown… June 2024,” Bow Wow wrote.

    The rapper has worked with Breezy on a number of records before, including 2006’s Top 10 hit “Shortie Like Mine,” as well as “Outta My System” of the same year and 2009’s “Ain’t Thinking Bout You.”

    Although it’s not certain that Bow Wow was talking about a song on the X post, he is currently putting together his final album, Before 30, which will drop via Snoop Dogg’s Death Row Records.

    Usher is looking forward to step on the Verzuz stage with his “little brother” Chris Brown. During a recent chit-chat on the Big Boy’s Neighborhood, the “OMG” singer revealed that a Verzuz face off between the two R&B icons would be a blockbuster event.

    “Me and Chris would kill the world if we ever did something together like that. I’m not saying it’s Verzuz, but I’ma just say this, if that ever happens it would be one of the biggest things that anybody has ever experienced in entertainment in celebration of two people who love each other,” Usher explained.

    “Because I love Chris — I don’t like him, I don’t like his music, I love his music, I love him. He’s my little brother and he’s always been there for me and I’ve always been there with him.”

    He added, “through hard, ups and down times I’ve been there with him. For us to be able to celebrate what we do together, that’ll be crazy.”

    R&B superstar Chris Brown is approaching the conclusion of his Under The Influence Europe Tour and to mark the end of the trek, Breezy recreated Michael Jackson’s iconic Dangerous album cover. The singer shared the art created by Varel on Instagram Monday (March 27) with the caption, “WE ONLY GOT TIME TO LOVE.”

    Breezy’s Europe trek began in February with 26 dates on the schedule. The tour was announced in December 2022 with 19 dates, and it was sold out within minutes. Jamaican dancehall artist Skillibeng was slated to be the guest performer but dropped from the tour in January due to “unforeseen circumstances” while more dates were added.

    Chris Brown reportedly owes the federal government and the state of California large amount of money in back taxes. Per Distractify, IRS and the state of California have filed several tax liens against the multi-platinum singer since last year.

    IRS filed two tax liens worth $2,245,561.50 and $1,059,967.78, while the state of California wants him to pay $739,067.48. The amount totals to $4,044,596.76.

    The “Call Me Everyday” singer is expected to pay the taxes as soon as possible or else the IRS and the state of California will come for it.

    As for Chris Brown, this marks his 17th Top 10 song and for Metro, it’s his fourth.

    Future now has an overall 157 entries on the Hot 100.

    “Super Heroes” is the second song on Metro’s latest album, Heroes & Villains. All 15 songs from the album have occupied the chart. The album itself is currently leading the Billboard 200.

    Chris Brown’s new album debuts in the Top 5

    Chris Brown’s latest album, Breezy, has debuted at No. 4 on Billboard 200 earning 72,000 album equivalent units in the past week. The 33-year old singer hopped on his socials Sunday night (July 3) to announce the release date of the deluxe version of the project, which happens to be July 8.

    However, Chris had more to share with his fans. He called out those who only focus on unpleasant stories about him instead of supporting his music. ‘’July 8th breezy deluxe album Not that all is matters,’’ Breezy wrote on Instagram story. ‘’SEEMS LIKE YALL INVEST IN THE NEGATIVE STORIES ABOUT ME.’’

    He continued, ‘’CHRIS GETS IN TROUBLE (THE WHOLE WORLD IS ON it) Chris drops album {cricket emojis}’’

    He later added that ”I’m back on my gangsta shit. It’s BRACKING at all times.”
