Akademiks Recants Claim About Drake and LeBron James

Ak Apologizes for Inflammatory Remarks on Infidelity Rumors

Akademiks has quickly backpedaled on his controversial statement about Drake allegedly helping LeBron James cheat on his wife. The media personality had sparked outrage after spreading unverified rumors on his Rumble channel, where he claimed that Drake used to “supply” women for LeBron during his visits to Toronto.

During a follow-up conversation with Kai Cenat on his Twitch stream, Akademiks apologized and retracted his previous remarks. “I fuck with Bron. I kinda feel bad. I went back online and was like, ‘Yo, I’m seeing so many people mad at me. If y’all wanna go with everything I said was cap, I’ll go with that,’” he said, expressing regret for his words.

He further added, “We love LeBron. That’s one of our national icons, so we gotta hold down his legacy. Everything I said was cap, this shit is not real.”

Despite the apology, Akademiks still claimed that Drake, along with others, had already “half told on” LeBron regarding his alleged infidelity, although no concrete evidence was provided for these assertions.

The original claims, made just days before, had stirred major backlash as Akademiks insinuated that LeBron’s visits to Canada involved infidelity facilitated by Drake.

That’s why I named this s**t Flowers, I feel like I need mines, I feel like I give a lot of people theirs.

Roddy Ricch responds to Hit-Boy saying West-Coast rappers don’t work with him

Roddy Ricch says he was confused about Hit-Boy’s comments

Roddy Ricch reacts to fellow California native Hit-Boy’s remarks that West-Coast rappers like Roddy himself and Kendrick Lamar whom he’s worked with on Nipsey Hussle’s Grammy-winning “Racks In The Middle” and “Backseat Freestyle” respectively, do not work with him anymore to his surprise.

While on the move to promote his new commercial mixtape Feed Tha Streets III, Roddy stopped by Power 105.1 this week where he addressed Hit-Boy. “We got a lotta music together, so I was kinda confused about it,” Roddy told the host, DJ Clue, who then asked him if he speaks with the Fontana producer.

“Briefly. I let him say whatever, I ain’t say nothing. I don’t know. I don’t really be on the media with n**gas, you feel me?” the rapper said, while adding that he’s “thankfull” they won a Grammy together. “It’s probably a lot of producers that feel that way. West Coast n**gas we should handle certain things without the cameras on.”

During a recent conversation with DJ Akademiks on his Off The Record Podcast, Hit-Boy said he played “Racks In The Middle” beat for Roddy the same night he made it. “The first beat I ever played n-ggas, the first song we ever did within 10 minutes of knowing each other, won a Grammy. How the fuck have we not locked in on more music. I don’t get it. Maybe it’s not for me to get,” he said.

He continued, “At the end of the day, the first muthafucking beat I ever played for you in the history of life is ‘Racks in the Middle,’ my n-gga, like pull back up what the fuck.”

  • DJ Akademiks says 21 Savage helped end his feud with Meek Mill

DJ Akademiks says 21 Savage helped end his feud with Meek Mill

DJ Akademiks says he’s now “cool” with Meek Mill, thanks to 21 Savage’s intervention

DJ Akademiks and Meek Mill have had a rocky relationship in the past, but according to him, 21 Savage came and leveled things up.

“Me and Meek cool! We good now. I believe we’re good,” Ak told DJ Envy during The Breakfast Club interview on Monday (September 26).

“21 Savage did something I thought was very dope. He gave this explanation, he said, ‘When two friends are going at it, if it goes far enough, you got to pick a side.’ And he basically said it was going to a point where he was going to be forced to be like, ‘Yo, are you really rocking with this n-gga Ak or you rocking over here?”

He added, “[21] put us on the phone, and I got to salute Meek as well because I don’t think a younger Meek Mill would’ve been on the phone, and I think Meek has shown a little bit of growth,” he continued. “I was down to have a conversation with him for, like, four or five years. We’ve been on DMs, but it’s never been a real conversation.”

“I thought that was a grown man discussion and I enjoyed it and I appreciate 21 Savage for facilitating it.”

  • LL Cool J checks DJ Akademiks for calling Hip Hop OGs “dusty”

LL Cool J checks DJ Akademiks for calling Hip Hop OGs “dusty”

LL Cool J advises Akademiks not to confuse raking up checks and contributing to the culture

New York legend LL Cool J is not happy with DJ Akademiks’ recent remarks on Twitch that Hip Hop pioneers are “dusty” despite being the founders of the industry.

“It came to my attention that a DJ — and I’m not gonna say any names ’cause I don’t think it’s necessary — a DJ basically said that a lot of the pioneers in Hip Hop, they’re dusty or how can they be the person that invented Hip Hop if they don’t have a lot of money, or if they don’t represent like they have a lot of dough,” Cool J said during an Instagram live stream.

“Let me explain something to you: don’t think just because somebody knows how to get money — or fails to get money — that they didn’t make a contribution to the culture.”

    https://www.instagram.com/tv/Ciyqd-xoq61/?utm_source=ig_web_copy_link

He went on to explain that old school rappers did not have the same opportunities today’s artists enjoy. “Today, you can come up with your five-year plan, your 10-year plan, your 20-year plan. You can go find a manager, you can find an accountant, you can find a team that helps your career go to the next level,” he added.

“When Hip Hop first started, there were no managers, there were no accountants that believed in it. Record companies didn’t even believe in it! Nobody believed in it. How can you make a five-year plan or a 10-year plan on something that doesn’t even exist yet?”

The Rock & Roll Hall of Famer continued: “So just because [these pioneers] didn’t get rich, just because they weren’t able to pile up millions or billions of dollars, does not mean that they didn’t make a contribution to this culture. They created an industry that we all ate off of! They created an industry that you eat off of!”
