Cardi B, Doechii & The Game Slam Trump Over Immigration Raids and Protest Crackdown in L.A.

Cardi B, Doechii, and The Game are among the prominent hip hop artists speaking out against Donald Trump following his administration’s aggressive immigration raids in Los Angeles and the controversial deployment of military forces against protesters.

Cardi, known for her political outspokenness, didn’t mince words during a live X Spaces chat, blasting Trump’s leadership style and expressing deep concern for immigrant communities.

“He always gives dictatorship vibes,” she said. “I tried to warn people this was going to happen. I don’t know anybody in the White House anymore. If I talk about it every day, he won’t care — he’ll probably deport more people just to prove he runs this country.”

She urged the former president to show “compassion” and said his actions are leaving families and communities traumatized.

Doechii, who took home an award at the BET Awards, used her acceptance speech to issue a scathing critique of Trump’s crackdown.

“There are ruthless attacks that are creating fear and chaos in our communities in the name of law and order,” she said, condemning the deployment of military forces to suppress protests. “What kind of government deploys the military every time we protest? That’s not democracy.”

She added that artists have a duty to speak up, declaring:

“We all deserve to live in hope and not fear.”

Meanwhile, The Game joined in solidarity with L.A.’s Mexican-American communities, voicing his support as demonstrations across the city intensify. Trump has since ordered the National Guard and even active-duty Marines into Los Angeles, sparking widespread criticism and unrest.

The artists’ united front underscores growing frustration from within the entertainment industry toward Trump’s immigration tactics and his response to public dissent — a clash that continues to polarize communities across the U.S.

TDE’s Rising Star Set to Shine on the Grammys Stage

This year’s show will honor first responders and raise funds for wildfire relief efforts, and Doechii will join other performers like Billie Eilish, Charli XCX, Shakira, RAYE, and Sabrina Carpenter. The TDE artist is also up for several nominations, including Best Rap Album for Alligator Bites Never Heal, Best Rap Performance for her track “Nissan Altima,” and Best New Artist.

Her inclusion in the prestigious event comes as she gains recognition for her innovative music and unique style. Alongside her, Beyoncé leads with 11 nominations, followed by Kendrick Lamar, a major contender with multiple nods in the rap categories.

Fans are buzzing with excitement ahead of the premiere of ‘Denial Is A River Show’

Doechii is gearing up for something big, and while fans are still unsure about the details, the previews have left everyone eager for more. Her upcoming project, Denial Is A River Show, has been teasing a ’90s sitcom-inspired production, with clips building anticipation ahead of its full premiere on Thursday (January 2), accompanied by a live-stream event.

The nature of the project remains unclear—whether it’s a standalone show on YouTube or an extended video for her track “Alligator Bites Never Heal”—but each teaser has proven to be more entertaining than the last. In the most recent clip, Doechii slaps Zack Fox so hard he flies through a window after he shows off his dance moves to Earl Sweatshirt (nicknamed “Brad Pitt” as a nod to the now-defunct Loiter Squad series), only for Fox’s defenders, including Teezo Touchdown and DJ Miss Milan, also to get slapped.

The first trailer, released on December 26, features multiple nods to the classic sitcom Family Matters, including its iconic theme song. In addition to the hilarious antics, Denial Is A River Show will feature ScHoolboy Q, SiR, Baby Tate, Rickey Thompson, and H Wood. Fans can’t wait to see what’s next!
