FERG says being around rich people is ‘boring’: ‘They are sauceless’

FERG weighs in on becoming rich

FERG is no stranger to what it feels like to be rich or to hang out with other rich people, and through his experiences, he has come to the conclusion that life of abundancy is “nothing interesting.”

While promoting his new album, Darold , the rapper, formerly known as A$AP Ferg, sat for an interview on The Zach Sang Show where he talked what it’s like being rich and having such company around.

“After you make money and you get rich and all of that shit, right – like what really matters after that?” he explained. “It’s boring being around mad rich people. That shit is wack, not even gonna lie. Whatever they advertise and all that, shit is trash.”

He continued: “They’re sauceless. That’s why I feel like a lot of rich people buy art and clothes and shit, because you can buy into somebody’s sauce.”

FERG explains his decision to disclose childhood molestation experience in new album

FERG opened up about traumatic childhood experience in new record

FERG reveals the reasons behind his decision to share his experience of childhood molestation in a personal song appearing on his latest album, DAROLD. In a Tuesday (November 12) interview with The Breakfast Club, co-host Jess Hilarious talked about the song called “Pool” where the Malian rapper goes in depth about the traumatic experience.

“It took me eight years to write ‘Pool.’ It was three songs that I had wrote to get to that point,” he explained. “I wrote a song called ‘We Don’t Judge’ and Chance The Rapper‘s on there and Stacy Barthe. I’ma still put that out. Then I wrote another song called ‘Innocent Child’ which was like three different stories about three different people [and] the last story was mine.

“I was just trying to refine it and then I linked up with my boy Kerby – he’s the designer and owner of Pyer Moss. I just love his storytelling through his clothes and how he speaks to the world. We got in the studio and he was just like, ‘Yo bro, you inching towards it and you’re scratching the surface when you need to really just dive in and just go crazy.’”

Pluto could be taking aim at Wunna

Future appears to throw a particularly savage shot at Gunna on the single “Allure” by Ferg.

The song, which premiered on Friday (October 4), sees the two rappers take turns rapping over a Mike WiLL Made-It beat that contains some creepy synths and trap-style drums.

Within the guest verse by Hendrix, there’s a threat aimed at an unidentified opponent, likely Gunna: “You took a plea on my slime, won’t be surprised you ended up dead.”
