Glo facing nearly half a million worth of lawsuit

GloRilla is being sued by one Aristotle Varner Jr. for $400k. Per reports, Varner paid Glo $150k in 2022 for a joint Instagram post, meet and greet event, as well as a 30 minute interview with his wife Asia Varner but the Memphis rapper only played the joint IG post part.

“She was [already] big. It’s just — you know — celebrity, cocky, ‘I’m not going to fulfill the contract’ shit. You know how that shit go,” Varner told The Morning Hustle last week.

Glo admits the criticism got to her

GloRilla was recently checking in with her fans on Instagram live when she admitted that the trolls she recieved for her single “Cha Cha Cha” reached her nerves. But that helped her hit back hard.

“Y’all made me feel crazy when I dropped ‘Cha Cha,’” she revealed. “Like y’all made me feel real crazy about that, and I want y’all to know that. So I came back with a vengeance, you feel me? But you know, I love criticism… I love it until I feel like motherfuckers be dick riding.”

Glo went on, “You learn from your mistakes and do better. I’m really here to tell you I’m on it, I’m back on it, I’m never getting off it.”

Glo separates her White House visit from ongoing campaigns

Memphis rapper GloRilla recently had the privilege to visit the White House where she met the Commander in Chief Joe Budden and Vice President Kamala Harris.

Following the visit, Glo spoke to CNN where she clarified that the visit is not related to the underway presidential campaigns. “That ain’t got nothing to do with me, know what I’m saying. Like, I’m just living my life like it’s golden,” she playfully explained. “But you know, I’m not going to talk politics but I love the president. I love everybody.”

She concluded, “At the end of the day, the day gotta end.”

Glo sued over her hit “Tomorrow”

GloRilla is being sued by veteran rapper Ivory Paynes of Dog Housse Posse over “Tomorrow.” According to TMZ, Paynes claims that the song samples their song “Streets of the West Bank” without permission or clearance. He says Glo’s record interpolates elements such as piano, cello, and drum from their track and.

The suit mansions “Tomorrow” remix feat. Cardi B, but the Invasion of Privacy rapper is not named as a defendant in the suit. The filing is against GloRilla, producer Macaroni Toni, as well as Warner Chappell Music and Sony/ATV Music. It’s not been revealed how much Paynes is demanding in damages.
