    Cube says another ‘Friday’ film is in the work

    Ice Cube provides new details about the next installment of Friday film, asserting that it is definitely a work in progress.

    Making an appearance on an episode of Million Dollaz Worth of Game podcast hosted by Gillie Da Kid and Wallo, the West Coast icon revealed: “It’s coming back. We gonna do it. We gonna make it dope, make it funny, bring it up to date, introduce new characters, bring back old characters, create the feeling the movie gives you.”

    He added: “People love Friday because everyone experienced it. People love Friday because everyone’s lived Friday. Everyone has lived a thousand Fridays.”

    Cube’s new single is out

    Ice Cube explains his recent line ” I was Kendrick before Kendrick [Lamar]’ . during an appearance on SiriusXM’s Rock The Bells Radio on Wednesday, 23rd October to promote a song called “It’s My Ego.”

    On the tune, Cube raps: “I minister this pimp shit/I’ve been a minister since an infant/I was Kendrick before Kendrick/Rock & Roll Hall of Famer, like Jimi Hendrix.”

    When host Torae asked him to elaborate on the line, Cube provided more insight. “A provocative artist – an artist that said what I felt, put it all out there, very critical of the system and the government and what we have to go through as Black people in this country,” he said. “And I think he’s the same kind of artist. Thought-provoking artist. And so, I was that before he was.”

    Pete Rock recently appeared on Drink Champs podcast where he reflected on Ice Cube’s reaction after he produced Common’s 1996 diss track “The Bitch In Yoo” directed towards the N.W.A rapper and his affiliates Mack 10 and WC.

    Pete explained that Cube was mad about the producer’s contribution on the record and confronted him about it. “Of course Ice Cube was a little upset with me,” Pete recalled. “That man had me feeling bad, man. He’s like, ‘Yo, he was angry, he was upset.’”

    Cube doesn’t want to be associated with racists

    Ice Cube’s basketball Big 3 League will be back in June and along with CBS and Paramount+, it will also stream on X, formerly Twitter. When the former N.W.A member announced on social media that the league will stream on X, a fan slid in the comments charging him with “aligning with white supremacists.”

    Cube responded with fury, writing, “Shut yo b-tch a– up! I ain’t aligned with nothing, punk. I draw my own f-cking lines.”

    The fan then elaborated their remark, stating, “I respect your response but just look and see who Elon connects himself to and tell me I’m wrong. I still have respect for Cube, always will. However I’m not blind to his who he aligns with. I like the Big 3, Both things can be right at the same time.”

    Around a decade ago, a mysterious blog shared a conspiracy theory claiming that back in the 90’s, a group of Hip Hop figures conspired to encourage black men and women to glorify crime in their music so as to set up young black people into prisons.

    While the theory claims those involved were executives, it alleged that N.W A, a Rap group encompassing Ice Cube, Dr. Dre, Eazy-E and others, had direct knowledge of the plot.

    This week, Cube ran into a tweet discussing the same and he responded writing: ” “Opinions are like assholes. Everybody has one and they all stink! What evidence do you have to make a statement like that?”

Cube shared a story he heard about the incarcerated former Death Row Records leader gathering his producers and demanding hits from them or else he would turn to a producer himself.

    “Suge had an apartment full of producers,” Cube recalled. “I guess they wasn’t coming up with the right songs. And he gathered them all up and said, ‘Look, either y’all start producing some hits, or I’ma start producing some hits.”
