    Latto responds in kind to Ice Spice’s recent subliminal shots. In her new single “Sunday Service” released on Friday (February 9), the Atlanta rapper had her Bronx counterpart on the crosshairs, unleashing a few rounds at her.

    “Think I’m the shit? Bitch, I know it, ho / Jesus walked on water, I got Ice boilin’ though,” Latto raps, addressing Ice Spice’s recent diss track “Think U The Shit.”

    Earlier this week, the “Big Energy” hit-maker was allegedly spotted shooting the record’s visuals in the Bronx, Spice’s hometown.

    Ice Spice had earlier on confirmed on Clubhouse that “Think U The Shit” was a diss towards Latto for playing her “weak ass snippet” while the former’s video played in the background.

    In the new song, Latto likely had smoke for Nicki Minaj too as she rhymed: “Do you rap or do you tweet? Cause I can’t tell, get in the booth, bitch, Stop all that motherfuckin’ yellin’, ho, ‘Cause I ain’t buyin’ what you’re sellin’, ho.”

    Ice Spice had a vibrant run in 2023 and one of the factors are the collaborations she bagged. The most notable feature was on Taylor Swift’s “Karma” remix.

    During a Friday (February 2) interview on Today, the “Think U The Sh*t” rapper recalled how it felt getting to work with one of, if not, the biggest artist on the planet.

    “I started crying when I heard about it,” Spice said. “I was like, ‘No, you’re lying. That’s not real!’ I was so emotional, it was like tears of joy, of course. But, just grateful — iconic.”

    UMG ends contract with TikTok

    Major hip hop acts like Drake, Nicki Minaj, Ice Spice and Bad Bunny will not have their music on TikTok as Universal Music Group terminates its contract with the social media app in effect from Wednesday (January 31).

    In a statement released by UMG on Tuesday, the mega-company accuses TikTok of unfairly pocketing more money from their material than they should while paying less to the other party.

    UMG also claims TikTok has failed to provide online security to their artists. The Chinese company hit back at UMG with their own statement arguing the label is being driven by corporate greed and are spreading a “false narrative.”

    Ice Spice is finally prepared to present her very debut album to the world. During an interview on The Today Show that aired on Tuesday (January 30), the 24-year-old rapper announced that her new album, Y2K, is nearly ready to arrive.

    “Yes, there’s gonna be an album,” she said, adding, “I’m so excited.” She explained that the title is inspired by her birthday, January 1, 2000. This was a time when there was a widespread dread that the world would end at the beginning of the new millennium.

    “It’s almost finished. I’m really excited,” Spice continued, before revealing that she had just finished a “crazy” collab: “I have a crazy collaboration that just got locked in two days ago.”

    Ice Spice has been riding her wave for a minute now but she is yet to deliver her debut album. While recently interacting with fans on Threads in collaboration with Billboard, “Munch” producer RIOTUSA explained that they are working on Ice’s album and he has high hopes for it.

    “Fans should know I produce and record too, so look out for my music,” he revealed. “Also look out for new classics with Ice in 2024. We’re working on her debut album as we speak.”

    The New York rapper released her first EP, Like..?, in January this year and later followed it up with the deluxe.

    Doja Cat commended Spice’s choice and described the R&B crooner as “beautiful.”

    Usher is one of the most iconic singers on the planet. His status helped him land a spot to perform at the Super Bowl LVIII in 2024.

    Ice Spice breaks Nicki Minaj’s record on Spotify

    Ice Spice is not slowing down on cementing her position as one of the hottest rappers out now. Per Chart Data, on May 26, the New York rapper earned the biggest streaming debut by a female rapper in global Spotify history, thanks to her appearance on Tyler Swift’s “Karma Remix.”

    The song amassed 5.036M streams on the day it was released, placing it at No. 5 on global Spotify chart. The figure pushed Spice to score her biggest streaming day on the platform, which totaled at 10.5M streams.
