Juelz Santana Talks Dipset Drama: ‘Nobody Wins When The Family Feuds’

Juelz weighs in on the ongoing tensions between Cam’ron and Jim Jones, expressing concern over their public fallout

Dipset is facing some serious internal friction these days, with Jim Jones and Cam’ron locking horns after their longstanding feud reignited. Recently, Juelz Santana sat down with The Art of Dialogue to share his thoughts on the escalating drama between his fellow group members, explaining that he’s not happy about how things have played out. The tensions exploded when Jim responded to comments from Cam regarding his past beef with 50 Cent and feelings of betrayal.

“It’s not something I condone,” Juelz remarked about the rift, emphasizing that both Jim and Cam are still his brothers despite the current fallout. “Nobody wins when the family feuds, no matter what we’re going through behind the scenes.”

While Juelz also shed light on the history between Jim and Cam, noting how the two were already close long before he joined The Diplomats, he made it clear that he doesn’t approve of the public spectacle. The situation has spilled over into the public eye, amplified by the power of social media, but Juelz hopes the drama can be resolved, stressing that unity is always the goal.

Kanye West Could Be Siding with Jim Jones in Cam’ron Beef

Yeezy’s Tokyo meetup with Jones adds fuel to the Dipset drama

Kanye West seemingly chose a side in the ongoing feud between his former Roc-A-Fella labelmates, Cam’ron and Jim Jones. The longtime friends, now rivals, have been trading shots in a public beef that stretches back years, and Kanye’s recent actions suggest he’s backing Jones.

While in Tokyo this past weekend, Kanye and Jim were spotted together at the club, sharing music, fashion, and even a post on social media. Jones shared a photo with Kanye, praising the rapper’s upcoming album Bully, calling it a potential “big problem” when released. He also dubbed Kanye “THE REAL BILLY GOAT” in a nod to his influence.

Kanye, in turn, posted a photo of a Dipset chain draped over a jacket, signaling his allegiance with Jones and the Dipset crew. The G.O.O.D. The music mogul was seen rocking the chain during their club outing, further fueling speculation about his support for Capo in this ongoing feud.

Meanwhile, Cam’ron has not publicly commented on Kanye’s latest move but has previously criticized Kanye’s public behavior, especially in 2023 when he called Kanye “crazy when it’s convenient.” Despite the tension, Cam’ron has made it clear he still has “love” for Kanye, although their relationship has had its ups and downs.

  • Jim Jones Defends Drake’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Universal Music Group

Jim Jones Defends Drake’s Defamation Lawsuit Against Universal Music Group

Capo argues Drake’s lawsuit is about holding a powerful company accountable, not a rap battle

Jim Jones has come to Drake’s defense after the rapper’s controversial lawsuit against his longtime record label, Universal Music Group (UMG), for defamation over Kendrick Lamar’s diss track “Not Like Us.” Appearing on the Broke N’ Frontin podcast, Jones shielded Drake from the backlash, pointing out that the 6 God is not suing Kendrick Lamar directly but rather UMG, a company with a history of allegedly exploiting artists.

“He’s not snitching on nobody… He’s suing UMG, which is the biggest company that has the biggest bag,” Jones said, emphasizing that Drake has a right to pursue legal action against a powerful corporation. He likened the lawsuit to the time comedian Tracy Morgan sued Walmart after a truck hit him, questioning why people wouldn’t support Drake’s efforts to get a financial settlement from a company that “rapes everybody.”

Jones also clarified that Drake’s lawsuit is not tied to the rap battle itself, stating that the song is out, and public perception of the beef is already formed. He stressed that the lawsuit protects artists from exploitation and dismissed comparisons to the street or rap culture.

However, not everyone agrees with Drake’s legal move. In a recent podcast episode, Joe Budden criticized the lawsuit, accusing Drake of being hypocritical by playing both the aggressor and the victim. He voiced disappointment over the situation, calling it a “mess” and “disgusting” for the culture.

The Harlem rappers continue their ongoing back-and-forth as Jones fires back in a new song snippet

Jim Jones isn’t holding back in his ongoing feud with Cam’ron and Ma$e. Just hours after the duo addressed him on their show It Is What It Is in a lengthy and mocking segment, Jones posted a snippet of a new song on Instagram that seems to respond to their remarks directly.

During the It Is What It Is episode, Cam’ron ridiculed Jim Jones for admitting that Ma$e taught him how to rap. Cam, known for his brash commentary, claimed that Jones hadn’t “made” anything for himself, saying, “How you ran the whole organization? How you made Diplomats? N-gga, you ain’t made none of this!” Cam also aimed at Jones’s alleged influence on his friends, particularly Shotti (6ix9ine’s former manager) and Mel Matrix, who was involved in high-profile legal cases. Cam accused Jim of sending people on “dummy missions, ” resulting in disastrous legal outcomes.

Jones quickly reacted, sharing a clip of his upcoming song with the caption: “I said wht I said after they laugh at th lies, the truth still hurts… Why would I waste free promo got me trending I’m tryin to drop.” In the song, Jones addresses the criticism, including Cam’s claim that his friends’ legal troubles resulted from Jones’s influence. He references several individuals involved in the case, rapping, “All my n-ggas do they time, you know my team body.” Jones also confidently reminds listeners of his success, explicitly addressing the claim that Ma$e taught him to rap, stating, “Youn-ggas taught me how to rap, and now I’m platinum.”

50 Cent also weighed in on the situation, sharing Cam’s tirade on Instagram with a playful jab, telling Jim to “holla at Cam privately” and mocking the moment when Ma$e sat back eating popcorn during the drama.

The ongoing back-and-forth between the three Harlem artists shows no signs of slowing down, with tensions continuing to rise in the public eye.

DJ Envy Confirms Cam’ron’s Story About Jim Jones and Maino Confrontation

Envy adds more details about the infamous club standoff

DJ Envy has confirmed Cam’ron’s story about a confrontation between Jim Jones and Maino, adding some details to the wild tale. In an explosive rant earlier this week, Killa Cam revealed that Jim once confronted Maino for dissing him early in his career. According to Cam, Jim went to see Maino and told him, “Yo, wassup with all that saying my name?” Maino, who wasn’t having it, responded, “Who the fk you talking to?! Oh, you think I’m one of them n****s? You out your muthafkin’ mind!” From there, their relationship evolved, eventually becoming part of the Lobby Boyz duo.

Speaking on The Breakfast Club, DJ Envy verified the story and revealed additional details from the night of the confrontation. Envy recalled that Maino, known for his bad-boy image at the time, was with three of his associates in the club, while Jim Jones arrived with about 15 people. When Jim walked down the stairs, Maino immediately told his crew, “Yo, everybody tuck your chains in,” signaling a tense situation.

Envy described how Jim walked over to Maino and his crew, but the entire club reportedly scattered when he pulled a move like he was reaching for a gun. “Jim walked over, with all the dudes in front of Maino, and Maino went in his jacket like he had a gun. And when he fake pulled out like he had a gun, the club scattered. Everybody cleared out.”

Envy was initially surprised, thinking Maino had somehow managed to sneak in a weapon despite the club’s metal detectors. However, Maino later admitted, “I lied. I was just bluffing.”

This incident is part of the ongoing drama between Jim Jones and Cam’ron, with Jones recently teasing a fiery response to Cam’s remarks. He shared a snippet of a diss track where he warns, “N****s play with your name, then you remind them who you are.”

While the remix announcement came on Tuesday (January 14), many fans saw it as a response to recent comments from his former friend-turned-rival, Cam’ron.

He also ridiculed Jones for not growing up with him and allegedly “fanning out” to join the Dipset clique. This sparked a fierce rebuttal from Jones, who took to Instagram, sharing a snippet of his song and stating, “I said what I said after they laugh at the lies, the truth still hurts.”

Maino Refutes Cam’ron’s Account of Confrontation with Jim Jones

Maino Offers His Side of the Story on His Early Feud with Jim Jones

Maino has addressed Cam’ron’s retelling of a past confrontation between him and Jim Jones, revealing that the incident wasn’t quite as dramatic as Killa Cam described. Appearing on Way Up with Angela Yee, the Brooklyn rapper clarified that their issues stemmed from Maino’s 2006 hit “Rumors,” where he mentioned Cam’ron but not Jim Jones. According to Maino, Jones took offense to this, and the two would have “face fights” whenever they saw each other, but no physical altercation occurred.

Maino recounted their encounter in Atlanta, noting, “We had a conversation… nothing spectacular, nobody swung. Once we started talking and realized that we had things in common, we were cool from then on.” He added that their interaction was much more cordial than Cam’ron’s version, though he acknowledged that tension needed to be addressed at the time.

Cam’ron, in his recent interview, had described how Jones allegedly confronted Maino about the diss and how things escalated into a more heated exchange. DJ Envy also chimed in with a recollection of the night, claiming Maino had fake-pulled a gun on Jones, causing chaos in the club. However, Maino’s account paints a more peaceful resolution, eventually leading to the two becoming “way cooler” than before.
