    Justin Bieber steps in to rescue Drake’s “POPSTAR” life in DJ Khaled’s video

    DJ Khaled is known for his many enthusiastic antics and as he gears up to drop his next album, he’s making sure one of his latest singles “POPSTAR” featuring Drake gets the shine it deserves.

    Due to COVID travel restrictions at the border, Drake wasn’t able to film the visuals for the single but he and Khaled used their A-list privileges to phone in a suitable friend to take his place.

    The 8-minute video opens up with a phone montage of Khaled and mini rant from Drake who is visibly irritated with Khaled’s many calls and texts as he’s trying to stay in quarantine album mode. Unable to fulfill Khaled’s wishes, the video cuts to a surprising appearance from deemed popstar Justin Bieber, who we later learn is the actual star of the video.

    In addition to Bieber, the video also features appearances from stars like Scooter Braun, Hailey Bieber, and more.

    Tyler, the Creator originally wrote “BIMMER” for Justin Bieber.

    In 2013, Tyler tweeted he “made bimmer for justin b to sing over” but he changed his mind and kept it for himself.

    2017

    Tyler, the Creator originally wrote “Glitter” for Justin Bieber.

    Tyler, the Creator revealed during FLOWER BOY: a conversation with The Carmichael Show‘s Jerrod Carmichael that he originally wrote Flower Boy‘s 13th track Glitter for Justin Bieber.

    During FLOWER BOY: a conversation with The Carmichael Show‘s Jerrod Carmichael, Tyler, the Creator revealed he originally wrote Flower Boy’s 13th song Glitter for Justin Bieber.

    “I love ’90s R&B because it was hard drums, pretty chords, and people trying to outrun themselves hitting those gospel runs, and it just always got to me,” he said. “I wrote ‘Glitter’ for Bieber.. I wanted Justin to have that. I thought he would be so cool doing that, but he never returned the call. I was just like, ‘Fu– it, I’ll write it and just make it cool.’” – Tyler, the Creator told Jerrod Carmichael.

    Tyler, the Creator also wrote “Bimmer” and EARFQUAKE for Justin Bieber, but Justin hasn’t accepted any of Tyler’s songs yet.
