Lil Baby Shuts Down Any Hope of Reconciling With Gunna

Baby is for sure done with Gunna, and he still has no intention of working with his ex-friend anytime soon

Lil Baby was asked about the state of his relationship with Gunna in a candid interview with Charlamagne Tha God’s Out of Context YouTube series.

“We don’t got no relationship. Nope,” Baby said plainly when asked about their connection.

Charlamagne pressed further, asking if Lil Baby would work with Gunna in the studio if Young Thug asked for it. “I don’t see that happening. I don’t know what nobody else will do, but as far as me,” Baby replied, dismissing the possibility.

Still, Lil Baby denied the rumors about dissing Gunna through his song “350.”

“That’s just the internet and what they gonna create,” he clarified. “I talk about rats every song I have since I started rapping. So now you know they just create a narrative and I don’t even be talking about a n-gga.”

Everything from Gunna’s plea deal for the YSL RICO case, which has been causing waves in the Atlanta rap community, is the source of the fallout between the two. These comments made by Lil Baby further strengthen the fact that this rift is not going to heal anytime soon.

Baby targets Gunna on his new album ‘WHAM,’ showing no signs of reconciliation.

Lil Baby has continued to target Gunna’s neck on the deluxe edition of his brand new album WHAM, showing no signs of mending fences with his Drip Harder collaborator.

On the bonus track “Running This Shit,” the Atlanta rapper fires off yet another pointed shot at his former friend, this time referencing years-old snitching accusations that emerged from Gunna taking a plea deal in the YSL RICO case.

He a rat still / And I said what I said, don’t at me.

This is just one track in addition to three others released in the deluxe version of WHAM, which was launched on Tuesday (January 7). The updated album also features a collaboration with Future, but it currently exists only for digital purchase, without any announcement of streaming release.

Gunna has always been referred to as a rat in the curtains by people, and all began when Amari admitted to the deal with his government in late 2022. He is out of jail but shrouded in much controversy over a legal firm. Lil Baby’s latest offering is meant to rekindle flames, further heating the tension that existed between the past partners.

Baby teased a potential joint project with Future and Thug

Lil Baby has hinted at an upcoming joint project with Future and Young Thug, allegedly to follow their recent collaboration “Dum, Dumb and Dumber” if such collaboration were to materialize.

During an episode of Spotify’s A Day in the Life series, Lil Baby revealed that the trio is already working on a joint tape, actually motivated by Young Thug when he was in prison. “Me and Future were working on a joint tape. We damn near got the joint tape done,” he said, explaining that Thug encouraged the collaboration while behind bars.

“Thug was like, ‘Aye, call Pluto. I want y’all to do a tape together,’” Lil Baby continued. “He damn near named the tape and everything-this was before he got out.” As it seems now that Thug is free from prison and has developed an interest in getting on the project, Lil Baby noted, “We already did 10 together.”

Aside from their collaboration, Lil Baby also mentioned that 4PF is currently readying a compilation album entitled, Can’t Be Fucked With. Aside from this, Baby is also working on his latest LP – WHAM, and its planned follow-up, Domonique. Expect everything big shortly.
