    Metro reveals leaks ‘ruined’ collab project with Durk

    Fans have been anticipating a joint album from Metro Boomin and Lil Durk tentatively titled No Auto Durk for years, but the ship has already sailed. While recently interacting with fans on X/Twitter, Metro revealed that the project had to be scrapped because of leaks.

    “we had it bout ready and it was 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥 but the leaks ruined it,” he responded to a fan who asked about the record.

    On top of the year, the St. Louis super-producer promised to unleash three albums “at the very least” in 2024. Some of the projects that might see the light of the day include respective collab albums with Future and JID.

    Metro Boomin is fresh off releasing the Spider-Man: Spider-Verse Soundtrack which dropped late last month, but he still has his sleeves rolled up for his upcoming collab album with Future. Recently speaking to Complex, the “Niagra Falls” producer revealed that he is now fully focused on completing the highly-anticipated project.

    “The ultimate album right now is about to be the one with me and Future,” Metro explained. “Now that Spider-Man is out and people are loving and resonating with it, my focus can go to what me and Pluto got coming out. I’m not doing anything until that gets done.”

    He added, “It’s tunnel vision on that one because I was spreading myself thin between Heroes & Villains, Spider-Man, Coachella, and still shooting videos for Heroes. But now the focus is on this album and we’ve been working.”

    Metro Boomin and Future are cooking up their highly anticipated collaborative album, but are we already witnessing the beginning of the rollout? The duo has been teasing the project since early in the year with Future sharing the most recent reminder that the album is on the horizon.

    On Tuesday (May 2), the Free Bandz rapper hopped on Twitter with a short message referencing the dynamic duo he makes with Metro. “Pluto x Metro,” Future wrote, before Metro quoted the tweet with multiple fire emojis and later shared it on his Instagram stories.

    In April, following one of their Coachella performances, Metro shared a tentative artwork of the upcoming project IG stories. Back in March, the Heroes & Villains producer told Flaunt magazine that “he would definitely bet on” the joint effort arriving this year.

    As fans anticipate for Metro Boomin and Future’s collab album, the platinum producer adds more fire to the hype. This week, Metro took to Instagram stories to share a tentative cover art for the forthcoming project.

    The artwork portrays Future performing onstage while Metro engineers the show at his equipment desk as they literally set the stage on fire.

    Back in March, Metro confirmed that they are planning to unleash the album later this year. “Definitely. I would bet on it,” Metro told Flaunt about the possibility of the project dropping this year. “I would definitely bet on it.”

    Metro Boomin and JID are busy in the studio working on a new joint album. Metro broke the announce when he shared a photo of him and JID in the studio with caption, “Me and [JID] album incredible,” and JID shortly reposted the photo in IG story writing “Bruh.”

    It looks like Hit-Boy awoke Metro Boomin’s inner beast after he dissed him in a recent snippet that surfaced online. On the preview, Hit-Boy goes after fellow producers Metro, Hitmaka, and Southside.

    “I don’t really know dude he seem like a cool cat/But I never once heard Metro Boomin do boom bap,” Hit-Boy raps about the Heroes & Villains producer.

    Shortly after the snippet circulated on social media, Metro hopped on Twitter posting part of Kendrick Lamar’s lyrics on “Rich Spirit” that state: “Stop playing with me ‘fore I turn you into a song.”

    Hit-Boy is yet to respond.

    Metro Boomin has his sleeves rolled up for a number of music videos he has been editing in order to reach the quality he desires. The producer made the revelation on Twitter this week, adding that he’s trying to figure out which visuals to release first.

    “Been working hard on editing these music videos to have them at the level they need to be. Just got 3 more videos on deck ready just gotta see what I wanna drop first,” he wrote.

    Metro to add Diddy on “Creepin’” remix version

    Metro Boomin is planning to release the remix to his Heroes and Villains smash hit, “Creepin’” that featured The Weeknd and 21 Savage next week. The remix will feature Diddy as an additional guest.

    Although Metro didn’t reveal Diddy’s feature, the New York rap veteran did confirm his appearance after reposting a post by Our Generation Music.

    The song, which was released as the lead single for Heroes & Villains, covers Mario Winans, Enya and Diddy’s 2004 song, “I Don’t Know.”
