    Nav partners with NBA 2K

    Nav has joined the growing list of rappers who’ve scanned their bodies to become NBA 2K playable characters. The Canadian rapper shared the news on Instagram this week.

    In a 2022 interview, the Demons Protected by Angels rapper compared his appearance to that of an NBA 2K character, and said people hate him for that.

    “They’re just tight,” Nav told Speedy Mormon at Complex. “Yo bro, If I was some light-skinned dude with tattoos, the whole look, NBA 2K player looking type of dude bro, and I saw me, getting more money and having more fun, and getting more females, and clout, and whatever I’d hate me too.”

    Nav’s latest album Demons Protected by Angels debuts at No. 2 on Billboard 200, thanks to the 62k album-equivalent units sold in the first week of release.

    The album was released on September 9 by XO and Republic Records. It featured Lil Uzi Vert, Lil Baby, Travis Scott, Future, Don Toliver, Gunna, Lil Durk, RealestK, Bryson Tiller, and Babyface Ray.

    On the production, the Canadian rapper tapped the likes of Tay Keith, Grayson, Mike Dean, and Wheezy, among others.

    He also shared a list of features from the project which includes, Lil Uzi Vert, Future, Travis Scott, Lil Baby, Lil Durk, Don Toliver, Bryson Tiller,Realest K, and Babyface Ray.

    NAV is returning with new album next month

    Canadian rapper Nav is gearing up to release his fourth studio album next month. The rapper took to socials Monday (June 27) to announce that the forthcoming album will be titled, Demons Protected by Angels.

    ‘’My new album will be called “Demons protected by Angels,” the rapper tweeted.

    Earlier this month, Nav shared a release date of July 29 on Twitter, but didn’t announce what he was planning to drop. Now we know an album is around the corner, thanks to the latest update from the ‘’Young Wheezy’’ rapper.

    The upcoming album will be Nav’s first solo project since 2020. His last album, Good Intentions, saw a successful opening week upon its release. It debuted at No. 1 on Billboard 200 earning 135k units. The project featured Young Thug, Future, Gunna, Travis Scott, Lil Uzi Vert, Pop Smoke, Don Toliver, and Lil Durk.

    Rising Atlanta rapper Lil Gotit has a collab with NAV on the way, set to arrive April 21, which will be on a Wednesday. The 21-year-old artist shared on Wednesday (April 13) the cover art along with the title of the upcoming joint effort. They call this one “Burnt N Turnt.”

    The single will join a series of singles Gotit has been putting out ahead of his upcoming album Top Chef Gotit. So far he has dropped “Wok” and “Toosie.”

    Gotit, younger brother to YSL’s Lil Keed, is looking forward to building himself a solid career. Last year, he released his Hood Baby 2 project that featured some notable tracks like “Off White” with Keed and “Crazy Thoughts.”

    Young Thug and YSL deliver as promised with ‘Slime Language 2’ album

    Young Thug and his label Young Stoner Life Records have finally released Slime Language 2. The compilation project is handled by Young Thug, Gunna, and other YSL artists, with the help of other artists like Drake, Travis Scott, Future, Kid Cudi, Rowdy Rebel, NAV, and more.

    With a total of 23 tracks on it, the album features previously released tracks “That Go!” featuring Meek Mill, “GFU” with Sheck Wes, and “Take It to Trial,” and some previously previewed tracks like “Ski,” whose video according to Gunna’s Instagram, might drop tomorrow.

    Nav and Wheezy tease new album

    Earlier this week, Nav announced that his tape with Wheezy is almost done, without sharing any further details. The two have now shed more light on the upcoming mixtape. Both Nav and Wheezy took to Instagram to announce the title of the project and a pic of what is likely to be the cover art. “Emergency Tsunami coming soon!!! YSLXO ? ? @Wheezy”, wrote the Canadian rapper Nav.

    Nav previously released a collaborative mixtape Perfect Timing with Metro Boomin in 2017 that performed fairly commercially. Nav first came to limelight when he contributed to Drake’s Back To Back, a diss track towards Meek Mill. He has since been doing his thing to cement his rising career. He released his third studio album Good Intentions in May and followed it up with a deluxe version named Brown Boy 2

    Wheezy on the other hand has also established himself as one of the most in-demand producers in the industry. He has produced several successful hits like Gunna and Young Thug’s 3 Headed Snake, Nav’s Turks along with Gunna & and Travis Scott and many others.
