Saweetie‘s Too Short-sampled track “Tap In” has sparked a challenge across social media, and a lot of talented choreography is surfacing. Saweetie announced that the remix to the song was coming, but kept one of the features as a surprise. “Post Malone” was the final piece to the puzzle, having already announced DaBaby and Jack Harlow being a part of the remix.
Post Malone is getting a taste of the booze biz with his latest venture, Maison No 9, a rosé wine. Liquor endorsements are big business for rappers. Much of Jay-Z‘s Billion dollar fortune came from his alcohol investments. Diddy has built Ciroc into rap’s vodka of choice. Can Posty make it work?
The French wine is probably targeting his listener’s moms more than his main audience but rosé has become the drink of choice for many. Ask any millennial who’s ever been to brunch. While the partnership may seem unlikely, it is likely going to pay off.
Post Malone, born Austin Richard Post, revealed how he got the name Post Malone at the beginning of his career.
“My names Austin Post, I was looking for a name because i already had all these song and I was looking for a name and I couldn’t think of anything so i put my name in the rap name generator i’m sitting there, i’m f*ckin 14…” Post Malone told Noisey.
“We were all hanging out, chilling and drinking and then we were like, ‘Oh, Wu-Tang name generator, let’s put our name in,’” Post Malone later revealed on “The Tonight Show” back in 2011. “And we’re putting them all in, and they’re all funny and stuff, and then mine came up and I was like, ‘you guys, it’s not funny anymore. This is something big.’ I just really liked it.”

At the age of 16 years old, while Post Malone was in high school he released his first mixtape, Young and After Them Riches, using Audacity. The project has been erased from the internet and only two songs were found. The first song on the project was titled Y.A.T.R and another one was titled Squad Ruff.
Post Malone learned how to play guitar at the age of 12 years old by playing the game Guitar Hero. He auditioned for the band Crown the Empire in 2010, but he ended up being rejected after his guitar strings broke during the audition.
Post Malone revealed this on Snoop Dogg’s web show GGN, when Snoop asked him how he got into music,
“I started making music… I guess I was 12 and I started playing Guitar Hero, And you know, it got to a point where on expert, you can only exceed to a certain point. And so you know, I was like let’s play real guitar. Let’s not waste more time. So, I got my mom, I told her to buy me a guitar for Christmas and I started making music then.”
The New York Coke Boy,French Montana, has released the first single from his upcoming record, and it features two other titans in hip hop, Post Malone and Cardi B. This song has that Carribean pop rap vibe that French has seemed to embrace lately; Post Malone really compliments this style with his sweet vocals, and Cardi sounds very natural on this type of song as well. The production on this song comes from rising Jamaican producer Rvssian; I would really love to see him collaborate more with French for this upcoming album, because the sound that they create on this song is very natural sounding.
This is seriously a really great collaboration. Cardi B’s energy on this track is excellent, and the harmonies chemistry between Post and French Montana is very palpable. French also just released a music video for this song. I do not even know how to describe it; I will say that it is super trippy and the scenes where they are riding the motorcycle look really fun. Check out the music video below for yourself and let us know what you think!
