    Rae Sremmurd & Gucci earn new RIAA certification

    Rae Sremmurd’s chartbuster “Black Beatles” featuring Gucci Mane has now been certified 9x platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA), meaning it has sold 9m units across the US. The record is only a million units away from earning the diamond certification.

    “Whole world froze !!! This is crazy 🏆 love yall 5L,” Swae Lee, one half of the Rae Sremmurd, wrote on X in response to the news.

    The duo, made up of Swae and his brother Slim Jxmmie, dropped the track in 2016 as the second single from their sophomore studio album, SremmLife 2. With production from Mike Will Made-It, the joint was released under EarDrummers & Interscope.

    Sremmurd reveal their album tracklist

    Rae Sremmurd are closing in to the release date of their upcoming album, Sremm 4 Life, which drops April 7. The duo, made up of Swae Lee and Slim Jxmmi, shared the album tracklist on social media this week. The tracklist consists of 14 songs but no features have been unveiled.

    The last time the group released an album was in 2018 when they dropped Sr3mm. the forthcoming project will drop via Ear Drummers and Interscope just like all their albums including Sremm Life and Sremm Life 2.

    Slim Jxmmi isn’t unfamiliar with spending good chunks of money on stupid items. In a recent interview with RapTV along with his brother Swae Lee, the Rae Sremmurd one half was talking about his dumbest purchases when he recalled buying a $10K golden blunt that he couldn’t even smoke.

    “I don’t know what the purpose was, you couldn’t smoke out of it. It didn’t have no air hole, nothing, just a solid gold blunt for no reason at all,” Slim explained. “[It’s the] stupidest shit I ever did.” The rapper added that he doesn’t even possess the blunt anymore.

    Sremms are officially back this summer

    Rae Sremmurds are returning with their new album Sremm 4 Life this summer. The duo took to their social pages announcing that the project will arrive on April 7. Serving as their fourth studio album, it will be execute-produced by Mike Will Made-It and the group itself. Made up of Swae Lee and his brother Slim Jxmmi, the Mississippi pair also have a new song and video out, “Tanisha (Pump That),” released on Friday (March 10).

    Just like all their previous albums, the forthcoming release will drop through EarDrummers and Interscope. After a long hiatus, the Sremmurds returned onto the scene mid-last year with the single “Denial,” later following up with tracks like “Community D*ck,” with Flo Milli, “Torpedo,” and “Sucka Or Sum.”

    Rae Sremmurd are coming back with first song since 2018

    It’s been four years since Mississippi duo Rae Sremmurd treated us with new music, but they are about to quench the thirst. On Monday (June 6), the ‘’Black Beatles’’ rappers shared a trailer for their upcoming single, ‘’Denial,’’ set to drop on June 8. The forthcoming record is available for pre-save.

    In the clip shot in Brazil, Swae Lee raps about the difficulties of being in a relationship. ‘’I’ve heard many fairy tales of love go bad, I’ve heard so many say they’ll never love again, I walk away and never turn back, it’s not the first time it won’t be the last,’’ he raps with a sharp melody.

    The group is working on their fourth studio album, SREMM4LIFE, which they said will arrive soon. On May 30, the multi-platinum rappers took to their official Twitter page to announce the project, adding a graphic burning number four. “Bout to get a dose of this Sremmy,” Swae Lee also tweeted before Slim Jxmmi added, “Time for that 4 foe four for phor.”

    Sremmurd released their last album, SR3MM, in 2018 with guest appearances from Travis Scott, Future, Pharrell, Young Thug, The Weeknd, Juicy J among others. It debuted at #6 after moving 57,000 album-equivalent units.
