Tay-K’s Second Murder Trial Scheduled, Could Face Life Without Parole

Tay to be sentenced in second murder charge

Tay-K had already been sentenced to 55 years for a murder he committed in 2016 in Mansfield, Texas. He is now going to trial for another murder he is accused of committing in 2017 in San Antonio, for which court documents state that the trial will begin on February 10, 2025. One of the charges Tay-K, who was born Taymor McIntyre, faces is capital murder because he allegedly fatally shot Mark Anthony Saldivar at a Chick-fil-A on April 23, 2017.

As reported by KSAT.com, a pool of 200 jurors is set to be assembled on February 7, 2025. A conviction for this crime would yield an automatic life sentence without qualifying Tay-K for parole at any point. Prosecutors offered a plea deal but the rapper turned it down and went for trial.

With depictive lyrics like “I was tryna beat the case, but I ain’t beat the case b*tch I did the race,” the record was later used as part of evidence in his 2019 trial.
