    Tyler, the Creator, came out against Elon Musk recently during his performance at the Austin City Limits Music Festival, a change of heart from his endorsement of the Tesla CEO and owner of X in the past.

    While performing “911,” he changed the original line “Sucks you can’t gas me up, shout out to Elon Musk” into “F**k Elon.” The adjustment went on to earn roaring applause from the audience.

    Tyler, the Creator, who’s already a Grammy-winning rapper, fashion designer, director and producer, seems to be in a very eager mood to begin acting. Tyler hinted an interest in the craft of acting last Monday (October 7) by responding to an Instagram post from his friend and collaborator Steve Lacy, whereby he had shared with his fans that he was upset about people asking for updates on an upcoming album he has yet to greet.

    Tyler replied to the post saying, “[I] feel you shit is annoying especially when i never said out my mouth an album was coming.”

    He continued: “[I] wanna be an actress lmfao.”

    Tyler’s new album continues to dominate the charts

    Tyler, The Creator’s Chromakopia is proving to be one of the most commercially successful hip-hop albums of 2024, as it sits at the first position on the Billboard 200 for the third consecutive week.

    The record reached its peak at number one earlier this month and has returned to the top by selling 104,000 equivalent album units in the last week, as reported by Billboard.

    The Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) has set the album for gold status, as total sales reached over 560,000 units in three weeks.

    Chromakopia did exceptionally well during its first week, selling 299,500 units even with a shorter tracking time due to its Monday release. It sold 160,000 units in the week following that.

    Tyler, The Creator’s new album Chromakopia manages to secure for itself the pole position on the Billboard 200 chart for the second week in a row.

    Having earned his highest first week sales of his career, Tyler has successfully managed to retain the title of the No. 1 album in the United States for another week. This marks the first time that one of his albums has been at the top for two weeks in a row.

    Chromakopia sold 160,000 equivalent album units in the first full week since its release, which was preceded by a shorter debut week owing to the anomalous Monday release than the usual Friday.

    Tyler, The Creator’s new album Chromakopia has been noted for making the largest debut of a rap album on Spotify in 2024.

    Just a day after its Monday (October 28) release, ChartData revealed that Chromakopia was streamed over 85 million times on Spotify’s global chart, making it not only the biggest Hip Hop debut of the year, but also within the top 20 debuts in the history of the streaming service in all music genres.

    Tyler, The Creator knows what he wants his followers to feel while listening to his new album, Chromakopia.

    Tyler posted some tips on how to listen to the album after it dropped early Monday (October 28).

    “Make sure you listen in full with no expectations no distractions no checking text or social media letting others paint your thoughts on shit before you get a chance. Thank you,” the rapper wrote on Instagram.

    Tyler, The Creator’s second studio album Wolf reaches a new status on Spotify. Per Chart Data, the LP has now surpassed 1b streams on the platform.

    Released in 2013 via Odd Future Records, the body of work served as a bridgehead into the mainstream scene for Tyler. It emerged at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 after moving 89k units in the first week.

    The project boasted guest appearances from the likes of Pharrell, Erykah Badu, Earl Sweatshirt among others.

    Tyler, The Creator has the same problem with Frank Ocean as many of his fans has – he’s hard to catch. While performing at Coachella on Saturday (April 20), the rapper played their 2011 collab, “She,” and lamented about his Odd Future partner’s elusiveness.

    “Y’all know this song?” Tyler asked the concert-goers. “Oh, sing the song, ’cause this n***a not coming out. We don’t… We don’t know where that n***a is, so… It’s on y’all. You know it?”
