Young Thug’s Father Criticizes Fulton County D.A. After YSL RICO Trial

Young Thug’s father criticized the Fulton County DA following conclusion of YSL RICO trial

Young Thug’s father Jeffrey Williams Sr. hurled a lot of criticism toward the Fulton County District Attorney’s office at the close of what had been a long-running YSL RICO trial.

He called the D.A.’s office “a piece of shit” while talking to reporters outside the courthouse Tuesday (December 3). Williams reiterated his displeasure with how they had handled the case by saying, “We gotta get those people out of there.” He further added, “We want to continue to have justice; we gotta get them out of there.”

Williams also revealed that Young Thug is fine from jail, although he insisted, “The fight’s not over. He has my other son and a grandson arrested regarding this case.”

Earlier, Williams spoke to Atlanta’s 11 Alive concerning how he felt about D.A. Fani Willis in line with the case that had Young Thug freed towards the end of October. “I feel great that he’s going home, but still want him to fight, ” he said. He also expressed frustration with a court order barring Thug from the city, stating, “I’m totally against that… to have a district attorney take that away from him is offensive to me.”

Lil Baby Hints at High-Profile Collaborations on Upcoming Album ‘WHAM (Who Hard As Me)’

Lil Baby has some heat on the way with his Who Hard As Me (WHAM) album and he’s previewing some of the guest features for it.

On early Wednesday morning (Nov. 20), he posted an Instagram Story of him in front of a whiteboard with up to two dozen song titles and potential featured artists for the album.

Oddly, though, Baby’s “hardest verse ever,” according to Baby himself, isn’t represented on the board: 21 Savage. His guests are Young Thug, Future, GloRilla and Rod Wave.

YSL Judge Issues Apology for Using N-Word During Trial

YSL judge apologizes for using N-word during trial

Although Young Thug has been freed, the YSL RICO trial is still going on, and there are two remaining co-defendants. Recently, however, an unanticipated controversy unfolded inside the courtroom, which Judge Paige Reese Whitaker promptly addressed.

Whitaker mentioned during one of the sessions that she would read all the Instagram conversations tying it with that case just before they had lunch. Inadvertently, she uttered the n-word while she was reading from the text; at once, she said it was regrettable for her to have used the word. The reason is, that as she first read the messages, she attempted to go through them quickly without processing all of the material.

“I hope that that was not offensive to anyone,” Judge Whitaker said. “It was certainly not meant to be offensive to anyone. I do not use that word. And it was merely – I should have been looking first before I said whatever I said out loud to edit if there were, you know, any offensive words. So I want to apologize on the record for that.”

Young Thug’s Sister Calls Out Clout Chasers and Discusses Thug’s Trauma from Time in Prison

Young Thug’s sister criticizes clout chasers, shares his prison struggles

After spending more than 900 days in prison, Young Thug has kept a low profile following his release. This is due in part to his plea deal about the YSL RICO case. His avoidance of the public is quite understandable, considering what he just came out of, but to some fans, it is more about his next public sighting and about cashing in on the moment surrounding his situation.

Per Allhiphop, Thug’s sister Dora Williams took to X on November 7 to address such behavior and urge people toward sympathy, patience, understanding, and love rather than seeking to gain through his newfound freedom.

“I really wish everyone value the fact that my brother is human & actually went thru a lot of trauma,” Dora Williams wrote. “As did his family. If he’s asking for you to come around him it’s to just chill not gain clout. You all will have that opportunity when he’s ready. Rn, shower him with love pls.”

YSL Trial Presents Video of Alleged Member Stabbing YFN Lucci

    YSL member allegedly attacked Lucci

Young Thug has been released and there is hope for YFN Lucci too, but the YSL RICO trial is still taking its course with other co-defendants. The case proved interesting when new video evidence was revealed during the trial. Video footage from March 2022, before the YSL RICO indictment, showed YFN Lucci being assaulted with a knife by alleged YSL member Jayden Myrick, known as YSL Tripp.

Incidents of such nature become significant as both groups engage in feuds and spirited allegations do arise. During the very next court session when the grossly publicized footage of some kind of photographic evidence was already ongoing, on November 5, prosecutors showed this during retired Fulton County Jail security chief Aaron Wolford’s testimony, on what was still considered the 156th day of the trial that still held two defendants: Shannon Stillwell, and Deamonte Kendrick (Yak Gotti). Prosecutors contend that the stabbing shows criminal actions by YSL members on behalf of the group and that it caused the retaliatory slaying of Shymel Drinks; the viewer is cautioned.

Young Thug Faces $16 Million Publishing Contract Lawsuit

    Thugger sued over contract dispute

While Young Thug’s incarceration is behind him, the same cannot be said of the legal affairs facing him, as he is also being sued over receiving millions in payment for work he did not do.

AllHipHop has shared that AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group)is suing him. The lawsuit claims that Atlanta artist Jeffery Williams, aka Young Thug, signed a Kobalt Music publishing deal worth $16 million in 2021, while AEG insists that it already acquired music rights for Thug.

Furthermore, AEG contends that under the terms of Thug’s agreement with them from 2017, the company advanced Thug a loan for $5.25 million, which Thug failed to reimburse. In turn, they seek to appropriate his publishing copyright due to the breach of the loan agreement. The promotes contend this violation allowed them to exploit the YSL boss’s live shows as well.
