Tory Lanez pleads not guilty…

According to New York Daily News, Tory Lanez has pledged “not guilty” in the case of Megan Thee Stallion. Tory was not present during the plea hearing held in LA, but his lawyer, Shawn Chapman Holley, was there to plead “not guilty” on his behalf. The 28-year-old artist was charged with counts of assault with a semiautomatic firearm and carrying an unregistered, loaded firearm in a vehicle.

On July 12, in the hills of Hollywood, Megan Thee Stallion was reportedly shot by Tory Lanez. In early October, Lanez was charged in the shooting of Meg, who was shot in the foot. She took to Instagram Live shortly after the incident and talked about covering for Tory because of the trouble that can occur when black people are involved with the police. As she states, she tried to protect him as much as possble, but it didn’t appear that he had had the same intentions.

“Police are just killing everybody for no reason, and I’m thinking, ‘I can’t believe you even think I want to take some money,” she added. “Like, you just shot me,” she noted further in her interview with GQ.

Lanez is to return back for another hearing on January 20. He is to make no contact with Meg Thee Stallion during this ongoing investigation.
