On Wednesday (January 26), the Memphis rapper shared a video on Instagram of him with large stacks of hundred-dollar bills spread over a piece of studio equipment. In the clip, the rapper plays an unfinished record in which aspiring rappers are to upload videos on Instagram with their verses on, and whoever puts out the best verse gets a spot on the album.
“Hey I feel like changing a rapper life so I’mma do it,” Gotti said. “I’mma upload this song and whoever put the hardest verse on it, I’mma put you on my album, CM10. Let’s go.”
“You gotta come right behind me with four bars and I’ma come right back after you, we gon’ go back and forth in this shit. Let’s get it,” he added, referring to the unreleased track playing in the background. “I’mma come back and put in 16 that’s it. You gotta drop 16 after me let’s get it.”
The unfinished track is to be uploaded on YouTube and SoundCloud, and participants will upload videos with their verses on Instagram tagging Yo Gotti and CMG The Label. They’re also to hashtag “CM10” and “Dolla for Dolla.” “If I f*** with you enough, let me put you on the label,” Gotti says.
