Young Thug and Lil Baby’s brotherhood comes a long way

Lil Baby is readying to drop his third studio album, It’s Only Me, on Friday (October 14), and Young Thug doesn’t want it delayed. On Monday (October 10), Thug, who’s currently in jail for an ongoing RICO case involving YSL, tweeted a message for Baby threatening to end their friendship if he doesn’t release the album this week.

“Wham if you don’t drop in 3 days we ain’t bruddas,” Thug’s tweet read.

Baby’s third studio album contains 23 songs with features from the likes of Future, Pooh Shiesty, EST Gee, Nardo Wick, Jeremih, Rylo Rodriguez, Fridayy, and Young Thug on the track “Never Hating.”

During an interview with The Breakfast Club in 2020, Lil Baby recounted how Young Thug got him out of the streets into the studio after he came home from jail.

“I was in the neighborhood and he was like, ‘What you doing in the neighborhood?’ I was like, ‘You already know what I’m doing,” Baby said.

“So he was like, ‘Okay, how much money are you gonna make today?’ I was probably going to make like $7,000, maybe $10,000. He just went, ‘I’ll give you that – just go to the studio.’ Shit went like that.”
