Thugger sued over contract dispute

While Young Thug’s incarceration is behind him, the same cannot be said of the legal affairs facing him, as he is also being sued over receiving millions in payment for work he did not do.

AllHipHop has shared that AEG (Anschutz Entertainment Group)is suing him. The lawsuit claims that Atlanta artist Jeffery Williams, aka Young Thug, signed a Kobalt Music publishing deal worth $16 million in 2021, while AEG insists that it already acquired music rights for Thug.

Furthermore, AEG contends that under the terms of Thug’s agreement with them from 2017, the company advanced Thug a loan for $5.25 million, which Thug failed to reimburse. In turn, they seek to appropriate his publishing copyright due to the breach of the loan agreement. The promotes contend this violation allowed them to exploit the YSL boss’s live shows as well.
