Atlanta rapper, Yung Mal, was among six people who were charged with the crime
Yung Mal, Atlanta’s underground scene rapper, was arrested on Saturday night (July 10) in Decatur, Georgia. According to Atlanta Journal Constitution, Mal, born Khamal Michael Braud, was among six individuals who were detained and charged with murder following a gas station shooting that left one person dead.

The victim and the suspected group were reportedly seen arguing at Chevron station on 2450 Candler Road at around 9 PM before gunshots erupted. The victim, who was in his mid-40s, was rushed to the hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
The arrested suspects include De’Vonti King, 19; Thavian Ford, 46; Bryan Jones, 26; Deavin Baker, 31; Darreun Dodson, 20; and Khamal Braud, 25.
Dodson is allegedly facing additional charges for a violation of the street gang terrorism and prevention act and an aggravated assault charge. They are being held at DeKalb County Jail.
Yung Mal was formerly affiliated with Gucci Mane’s 1017 Records. He is known for tracks like “Numbers” and “Walkin'” featuring Pooh Shiesty. He is also known for working with fellow rapper Lil Quil.
