G-Eazy drops new single ‘Nostalgia Cycle’ which is the third single he has released from his new project, ‘Everything’s Strange Here‘ which drops June 26th according to an announcement in an Instagram post from G. To listen to the single, click here.
‘Nostalgia Cycle’, follows the release of ‘Free Porn, Cheap Drugs‘ and ‘Everybody’s Gotta Learn Sometime.’ All three singles indicate that the new project seems to have taken the bay area rapper to a more alternative singing route.
Sharing the artwork in a Twitter post for ‘Everything’s Strange Here‘, G-Eazy wrote, “8 weeks ago I didn’t know I needed to make this. The world has been turned upside down and inside out — but a lot of us have had the opportunity to self reflect and evolve. This project is a representation of where my heart and head have been at. It’s honest and pure – it’s me. Take it or leave it – this is how I feel.”
It would seem as if going into isolation for Corona has brought out a new side to G.
Earlier this month, G-Eazy shared a pair of alternative covers recorded from lockdown, taking on The xx‘s 2009 track ‘VCR’, and Bob Dylan‘s 1963 classic ‘Don’t Think Twice It’s Alright’.
