Benny The Butcher and Hit-Boy have no humble approach with new album, Burden of Proof
Benny The Butcher has been fairly quiet, in terms of his solo releases, which is a rare thing to say for an artist who has kept his foot constantly on the gas pedal. His Burden of Proof album, produced by Hit-Boy is one of the most anticipated rap albums this year.
“I always wanted to name my first album, *The Most Anticipated*, because
that’s always been my position and it’s my position now,” Benny said in a statement. “I’ve always been a dope artist from the hood, from the city, but I never really put out “the album” Benny commented. “I’ve recorded a lot of great music. Dope
projects, mixtapes, features and people see me on that level to where when
I deliver the album it has to be “that album” because expectations are high
and I thrive under pressure. *Burden Of Proof* is that album. We worked
hard on this project. I got a lot of input from the team. This is what I
wanted to give the people; *Burden Of Proof*.”
Benny’s gritty and catchy word play mixed with Hit-Boy’s versatility as an artist/producer, is a solid combination. Prior to the release of the album, Benny dropped “Timeless” with Lil Wayne and Big Sean. Initially, the song was leaked with just Wayne’s verse. Just hours ahead of the album release, Benny released “Legend,” serving as the closeout track of the project.
