Roddy has been teasing his sophomore album since last year. In an August interview with GQ, the 22-year old declared that his next album will be a masterpiece. “Could I drop a new album right now? Yes. Will I? No,” he said. “It’s really not about it being ready or not ready. It’s more about the timing. I really just drop when I feel like it. The next album is going to be a full blown masterpiece. A real idea. A real body of work.

Later that month, while on Instagram live, the Compton rapper also promised that the album will be coming ‘so f*ckin’ soon’.

Roddy Ricch had a successful year in 2020. His debut album ‘Excuse Me for Being Antisocial’ was the longest-running debut album on the top spot of the Billboard Hot 200 Chart since 50 Cent’s 2003 debut ‘Get Rich or Die Trying’. His mega-hit ‘The Box’ was also the biggest song of the year.
