Eddie Huang does it all (author, chef, restaurateur, food personality, producer, etc), but he’s making his director debut with the movie, Boogie. The movie is set to arrive on March 5th and will also star the late rapper, Pop Smoke, who will posthumously make his acting debut.
The movie’s trailer is soundtracked by Pop’s “Got It On Me” track.
“He gave me a thousand percent. They were tough 16-hour days, overnights, and he shot five overnights in a row. Kids were coming on the bridge to watch us shoot the scenes,” Huang told New York Times in June.
The Carnasie rapper was on the brink of breaking into multiple areas of his talents. His posthumously released album Shoot for the Stars Aim for the Moon had an exceptional run in 2020, and this run continues to present date.
