Trippie Redd explores his versatility in his new rock album
Trippie Redd has never shied away from proving his versatility. Throughout his career, the rapper has been known to try different styles of music from time to time. This time Trippie has blessed his fans with a rock album titled, Neon Shark Vs Pegasus, a deluxe version of his 2020 album Pegasus, released on October 30th.
The deluxe project, executive produced by Travis Barker,
is packed with 14 new tracks with features from Machine Gun Kelly, Zillakami, and more.
Speaking in an interview with Shirley Ju on her show Shirley’s Temple, Redd explained what inspired him to incorporate animals on the album title. “Basically, one of my favorite bands is Deftones, and they made an album called Pony, so I like the fact that they used just, you know, some type of animal to symbolize what they felt on the album,” said the “Who Needs Love” artist. “So, I made a rock album called Neon Shark. It was supposed to be its own album, but I was like, ‘fuck it, I’mma make it the deluxe for Pegasus.”
