Lil Tjay earns first top-5 hit
Lil Tjay has hit a new milestone in his career after his record “Calling My Phone” featuring 6LACK debuted at #3 on Billboard Hot 100. This marks the Brooklyn rapper’s first Top 10 and Top-5 entry. Tjay had been teasing the track for months since last year. He finally dropped it two days away from Valentine’s Day (Friday 12). The music video has garnered 15 million views on YouTube, just a week since its release.
In October last year, via Instagram, the 19-year-old rapper announced that his album was done after working on it for months. He also promised to take over 2021, and it looks like he wasn’t playing when he gave his word. He didn’t reveal the release date of the project, but it will likely arrive this year, and “Calling My Phone” will probably appear on it.
