J. Cole releases the first music video from The Off-Season
Following the release of The Off-Season on Friday (May 14), J. Cole comes through with the first music video from the album. On Monday (May 17), Cole delivered the video for “a m a r i,” the second track on the 12-song album.
Directed by Mez, the video features the North Carolina MC in different settings. From cuts of him remotely flying a helicopter to watching his old school burn, and flexing his gold and platinum plaques, the direction brings around both dramatic and surreal vibes.

Cole made his professional Basketball debut on Sunday (May 16), where Patriots played and won against Nigeria’s Rivers Hoopers. The “Lights Please” artist scored three points, secured three rebounds, and set out a pair of assists all in 17 minutes.
That’s not all, Cole is winning everywhere. The Off-Season, his sixth studio effort, is projected to debut at #1 with 280K-310K album-equivalent units sold in the first week of release. The first single off the album, “i n t e r l u d e ,” has also been the best-selling single after moving 195K units in the past week.
