Kanye West's season was set to begin on Friday (July 23), the date his album, Donda, was supposed to drop but it didn't. Hip-hop fans around the world have been refreshing their streaming platforms with the hope that Kanye might actually drop sometime during the weekend.
It's now been reported that Donda will not release this weekend, this is because Kanye has just pushed back the release date to August 6. As Justin Laboy of Revolt TV explains, Ye wants to take his time and give his fans the best of quality music.
“KANYE WEST WILL MOVE THE RELEASE DATE OF DONDA TO AUGUST 6TH. THANKS FOR YOUR PATIENCE ❤️ HE WANTS TO GIVE HIS FANS THE BEST POSSIBLE PRODUCT WITHOUT RUSHING ANYTHING. HE LOVES YALL WITH ALL OF HIS HEART. GOD BLESS ?? #DONDA #RESPECTFULLY,” Laboy tweeted late Friday night.
A few hours before the new date was revealed, Laboy and Dylan Farrell had announced that the album was in the mixing and mastering stage. “Getting mixed & mastered right now. Keep refreshing your music platforms its coming ?? #DONDA #Respectfully,” Laboy's earlier tweet read.
