On Feb 13, 2022, the NFL playoffs will culminate in the Super Bowl, live on CBS from SoFi Stadium in Inglewood, Los Angeles. Dr. Dre is bringing along some friends to perform just down the street from his hometown of Compton. This year, Dre, Snoop Dogg, Kendrick Lamar, Eminem, and Mary J. Blige will all perform for the professional sports halftime spectacle.
The performers have a combined 43 Grammy wins between them. Jay-Z, who partnered with the NFL in 2019 via Roc Nation, had the following to say about the historic performance.
“On February 13, 2022, at the Super Bowl, Dr. Dre, a musical visionary from Compton; Snoop Dogg, an icon from Long Beach; and Kendrick Lamar, a young musical pioneer in his own right, also from Compton; will take center field for a performance of a lifetime. They will be joined by the lyrical genius, Eminem; and the timeless Queen, Mary J. Blige … This is history in the making.”
Even if your team doesn’t make it to the big game or you only watch the game for the commercials, this will be one show you don’t want to miss.
