Memphis rapper Pooh Shiesty, born Lontrell Williams Jr., has been in jail since last summer in relation to a shooting in Miami where he opened fire at a man at a hotel. A new photo of Shiesty reportedly in jail surfaced on the internet early this week. The new pic shows a bearded Shiesty in between two other inmates who are all dressed in white.

In January 2022, the rapper’s sentencing was set for April 7, where he will face Judge K. Michael Moore. This was after the incarcerated rapper pleaded guilty to a single charge of conspiracy to poses a firearm in furtherance to violent and drug-trafficking charges. As a result of the guilty plea, prosecutors dropped the charge of using a firearm “in furtherance of another federal crime of violence” which could have seen him spending the rest of his life in prison.
Also in that month, prosecutors along with Magistrate Judge Lauren Fleischer Louis recommended a 97-months sentence. Shiesty’s lawyers appealed for a bond but Louis rejected it in 24 hours.
