Drake releases new album less than a year since dropping ‘Certified Lover Boy’
Drake made a startling announcement last evening (June 16) when he announced that he’d be dropping a new surprise album and shared its tracklist. Well, Drake was serious anyways. On Friday, the Toronto megastar unleashed his seventh studio album titled, Honestly, Never Mind.
The LP comes with 14 tracks with a sole feature from 21 Savage on the last joint, ‘’Jimmy Cooks.” Drake himself took part on the executive-production of the album along with longtime collaborator Noah “40” Shebib, Drizzy’s manager Oliver El-Khatib, Noel Cadastre, and Black Coffee .
Production on the album was largely taken care of by Black Coffee, Gordo, Alex Lustig, and Beau Nox. Shebib, Luca Pretolesi, and Noel Cadastre engineered the recording of the album. Congolese singer Mukengerwa “Tresor” Riziki also features as a guest vocalist on “Currents,” “Down Hill,” and “Tie That Binds.”
