‘'No Role Modelz'' is J. Cole's first diamond record

's much-adored hit song, ‘'No Role Modelz,'' has earned him a diamond certification after it accumulated 10 million units in . Say Cheese TV reported on Sunday (July 3) that the certification makes Cole the first rapper to score a diamond song without an official video.

Cole joins Chris Stapleton who's the only other artist to earn a diamond status short of a music video thanks to ‘'Tennessee Whiskey.''

The record became eligible for diamond certification in May. It was produced by & Cole himself, and interpolates 's 2001 smash ‘'Don't Save Her.'' It was released in 2014 as the fourth single from Cole's third studio album, 2014 Forest Hill Drive.

It peaked at No. 36 on Hot 100 and was certified platinum in the US in 2016.
