Lil Durk visits his hometown of Chicago
In recent Hip Hop history, it has proved to be dangerous for rappers to visit their hometowns, with a number of them being targeted in shootings. Nevertheless, some still pay trips to their childhood towns from time to time, Lil Durk is the latest one.
A footage recently made rounds on social media showing the ‘'Ahhh Ha'' rapper restfully walking through the streets of the Chi. A group of his people came out to be with the superstar.
Back in May, Smurk concluded his 7220 tour with his yet biggest show in Chicago, performing at the United Center. OTF executive & Durk's manager, Ola Ali, while speaking on how the show was special said in a statement: “I remember when we were on tour with Meek a couple of years back, and then the Chicago date came up and we had to take the night off. [Local authorities] wouldn't let us perform on that one night, and we were official support for that whole tour.”
He continued “So going through moments like that in your hometown for so many years makes being able to sell out United Center by ourselves on our own tour that much more special.”
