Lil Baby earns the award for his social contribution to his Atlanta hometown
Lil Baby to cop Quincy Jones Humanitarian Award at the second annual Music in Action Awards Gala on September 22, Variety reports.
The “Right On” rapper receives the trophy for his role in pushing for “racial and social justice” in his Atlanta hometown.
The event is hosted by Black Music Action Coalition (BMAC) and goes down at the Beverly Hilton in California.
BMAC says the award show is meant to appreciate “artists, executives, businesses, entrepreneurs, activists, and companies that have utilized their platforms to effect social change over the past year.”
