Nicki Minaj considers dropping her next album before the year ends
Award-winning rapper Nicki Minaj is looking to release her new album this year. During a conversation for Interview Magazine cover published on Monday (October 18), Barbie shared that the success of her chart-topping single, “Super Freaky Girl,” prompted her to unleash the follow up to 2018's Queen before the year ends.
“I wasn't sure how I was even feeling about having to put out an album this year, but that song happening and people liking it, that made me happy,” Nicki explained.
She continued, “People have gone through so much recently that they want to have fun. It'll probably expedite the album to come out this year.”
Back in February, the 37-year-old revealed on The Dana Cortez Show that people should expect the “mixtape Nicki” on the long-awaited album. “I love giving that good energy to people and make them feel like, ‘Yo, I'm speaking for you.' You gonna get hints of other things, of course, but yes, you're going to get that Mixtape Nicki.”
