Jay Master Jay’s murder trial to resume in 2023

It’s been 20 years since member lost his life to gun violence, and now it looks like justice will prevail. According to a report by Allhiphop on Wednesday (October 19), Karl Jordan Jr., who was charged with the murder alongside Ronald Washington, admitted to fatally shooting Jay during a chit chat with a witness.

“Jordan would often comment to Witness 5 that he had killed people, including Jordan insinuating that he had killed Mizell,” prosecutors revealed. “On one occasion, Jordan threatened Witness 5 with a gun and stated in substance that he would kill Witness 5 like he had killed Mizell.”

Born Jason Mizell, Jay Master Jay’s murder trial is slated to continue on February 23, 2023.

The DJ and producer was shot & killed in October 2002 at his Merrick Boulevard studio, Jamaica, Queens, reportedly over a drug-deal disagreement. He was 37 years old.
