Future chooses a name that’ll match his lifestyle
Atlanta rapper Future appears to have officially altered his last legal name. An outlet by the name Hot Tones alleged this week that the “First Off” rapper changed his last government name from Wilburn to Cash. Future later reposted the report on his IG stories with the caption, “BAG SECURED. Da BGGEST.”
Just recently, the rapper reportedly bought a $16 million home in Miami, around a month after he allegedly sold his 2010-2020 publishing rights for $75 million.
In a 2014 interview with Rolling Stone, Future, who was born Nayvadius DeMun Wilburn, said he used to replace his last name with Cash to avoid identification incase he indulged in wrongful doings. “So when I do something… They gonna tell the people the wrong name. My daddy didn’t even sign my birth certificate. So I ain’t never had his last name,” he said at the time.
Wikipedia now states Future’s real name as Nayvadius DeMun Cash.
